What do you think - are most ex-JWs atheist, agnostic, or still involved in some form of religion?
by lifelong humanist ini dad 6 years ago because, after a rational search came to the conclusion that there probably is no god.
shortly afterwards, i concluded that (for me) there is no god, which made me feel that i really was a natural-born humanist - a position that i'm entirely comfortable with.
i know that many former jws hold a similar, atheistic viewpoint.

Halloween- When you were a JW did you answer the door?
by IWillBeDubbedNoMore ini am watching the movie "the perfect world", and they have a scene of a jw family eating dinner and then the doorbell rings and the mother answers the door with her kids following behind.
she opens the door and there are several costumed children saying "trick of treat".
the jw mother says that they don't participate in such activities.

One person I heard talking about 'child cruelty' said that his folks always dressed him as a Jehovah's Witness every Halloween night and ........No One would come to the door! Talk about 'cruelty', that is it!

Do the elders really care if you fake your service time?
by JimmyPage inthe bottom line for them it seems is to keep their superiors happy (i.e., the co).
so as long as people report time, it makes the elders look good.
do any elders actually care if it's real or not?

Now remember Pioneers, anything over 40 hours can and should be counted 'time and a half'! Thats what most did in the congregation I attended!

I was baptised today!!!

i don't.
i can't necessarily "prove" that god cares, or that god exists but i'll tell you what---when something awful happens i do pray to god and hope for the best..
