Stiffy,
Did that happen to you? If it wasn't you.
Damn them all to hell!
If it was, I'm sorry.
imagine this.. a little child, about 3 or 4, sitting there, looking around.... he leans over and sees his shoe is untied, he looks up at his parent who doesn't seem to care much, almost falling asleep, so he leans over and ties it all by himself for the first time!
he smiles proudly and looks up at his parent and tuggs on their shirt.
the parent looks down with anger and pinches the little boy on the arm real hard.
there are about 6 billion people that live on this planet today.
it is most intriguing to realize that we are nearly all identical.
our genetic, social, psychological, emotional and spiritual similarities far outweigh our differences.. humans are human whether primitive or industrialized, male or female, african, asian or caucasian, or tall or short.. the paradox is that each of us also feels so unique that we spend the greater part of our lives trying to explain ourselves to each other in the hope that we can be heard or understood, as if no one else could possibly know what it is like to live in our skin.. if we can agree on nothing else, we seem to agree that one of the primary threads that run throughout all of human existence is struggle.
just a reminder to all jws past and present.
if you have a child that that sits quietly for hours .
at a time while adults discuss mind numbingly boring topics around .

in a controversial post in a separate thread, janh makes an extremely good observation that a certain former gb member will likely carry many, many wts "top secrets" to his grave, for whatever reasons he does not wish to divulge such.. then, on this db, former bethelites constantly exchange posts where their word choice is "cloaked" so that many of us who were not insiders are left guessing at meaning, people, etc.
obviously, even individual members of this fraternity have unique experiences and insights.
if such info is not disseminated, it is lost if that person dies naturally or in an accident.. would you folks please post more elaborately so that the rest of us can benefit from your knowledge and experience.. the statement that motivated this post made a silent reference to the author of the happiness book.
we had our local needs part on this tonight!
it was truly an excellent part, he literally made me cry it was so touching...i won't name the whole list he named, but he gave different examples of zeal...it isn't just going out in service, it means much more..here are some of the points he brought out..... 1.zeal is the older sister who despite her chronic illnesses which keep her feeling her worst, is never missing from the meeting, even though she might be more comfortable at home.. 2. zeal is the young child who has the courage to go up to the watchtower study conductor and ask to called on in a specific paragraph, and raises his hand anyway even though he knows the comment is already his or hers.. 3. zeal is the old couple in the hall whose only means of living is social security, but yet they always find something to give jehovah during each month.. 4. zeal is the single publisher or pioneer servant, who is drained of energy from working, but who is always in service no matter how tired they are.. those are just a few of the ones he mentioned.. can you give some examples of what zeal is?
i think this is a great subject!
This was taken from WOL.

one final thing before i go on vacation:.
a while back a few of us discussed setting up a fund for ray franz, which i think is an excellent idea.
he has done so much for so many people and deserves financial help.
growing up in the truth i have witnessed this situation time and time again a family particularly the daughter in the family becomes attached to a bethelite from middle american you know those corn fed farmboy line backer types they attach themselves to a certain family sharing meals at the home of the family, going on outings with the family.but the bethelite takes it in my opinion a step to far when he shows the starry eyed daughter affection by buying her flowers when she makes all her pioneer hours, taking her out to dinner when she gets a g on the ministry school, having lunch every weekend after field service takes her to his hometown to visit his family and friends of course the sister feels extra special but then the bethelite hits her with a ton of bricks when he asks if his fiance can stay at her home when she comes to visit from kansas this happened to a sister in my congregation she was so devastated she went out with a guy that had been asking her out from the job,got pregnant ,disfellow, and has not been back since.
people can usually tell if someone has feelings for you.
so wouldnt you be cautious of your actions so you wouldnt hurt anyones feelings or making them think there is more there than friendship?
I think the problems start when people start thinking anyone from the big house, "Bethel", is special, a little chunk of extra holiness, and they would never be human. Single bethelites, pioneers, ms's, all recieve special attention from the masses, they recieve money, meals, trips, and it goes to their heads. The bro. in question probably had such a high opinion of himself that he didn't even think twice of your sisters attachment, he was so use to the " extra privelages" that go with full time slavery.
I am sorry about your sister jazz, but be glad your sister is out, and can raise her child to not be "special".
can anyone get me copies of those orchestral tapes, kingdom melodies, they were so cool,.

can someone also phone me on saturday mornings 'cas i really miss getting up early on my one day off to go out knocking on door for no apparent reason,.
