Would you be happy if you converted? You may, but after hanging out here for awile, you'll see any desire to convert to a JW gone. Just start reading some of the threads and do some "surfing" on your own to prove that most of what is posted here is true. Unfortunately being here may end your relationship with your JW friend or vise-versa. That is a possibility, as crappy as it sounds. Knowledge is a powerfull thing so be carefull

Well the Witnesses are seeing growth but it happens to be in underdeveloped countries. So like a virus it sperads quickly, once enough knowledge is known (like in the US, UK, Japan) the growth stops.

Farkel - thx for the response- I always appreciate your comments. Would I pay 1.2 mil for any car..no (welll maybe for a McClaren F1) I believe the "Motorcars International" F1 is a '94.
Would I pay 100k for a Corvette, HELL no. Had a '94 and I didn't like it. Front engine rear wheel drive is crappy IMO. It may be good for a drag strip or 0-60 times but other than that it's worthless. I howned an '88 Mustang GT and than a '91 Twin Turbo Stealth, then my '94 Corvette. My Carrera 4 cost near 100k. Was it worth it?
To me yes, never drove anything even comparable to it. Sure you'll find many cars faster 0-60 but nothing can compare to the handling at over 100 MPH. I actually had some tard pull up to me me in a late 80's Lexus and say, " my other car would blow yours away.......Buick Grand National!" Well granted, sure, he may beat me in the quarter mile but how can you even compare a car like that to a '99 Carrera C4? His top speed can't be higher than 130? Hell I can hit that in 3rd or 4th gear and I have 6!
Would I be wasting my money if I buy a Diablo or a Murcielago? Maybe. Now were talking anywhere from 225k to 300k. I guess it depends on how much you like cars. For some they're a means from point "A" to point "B" (those people have absolutely no clue and think I'm insane for spending money like that on a car ), others think a car is a status symbol, then there are others who think they are better than you because they have a nice car.
Those are the ones I love pulling up next to. with my MTX powered sub system blaring. If you're at the march on the 27th I'm near a 100% go on attending. Drop me an e-mail I'll take you for a cruze. Just bought new tires/wheels/brakes. I'll send ya a pic too because I know how to attach scaned pics. AND YES I'LL EVEN LET YOU TAKE IT FOR A SPIN! If iI knew someone who had a car like that I'd want to drive it...all I ask is that you KNOW how to drive a stick and don't try to spin the tires because with all wheel drive you'll burn out the clutch. My TTs stereo is technically better but I like my Porsche's. The Porsche has duel 8s compared to duel 12s with twice the amps in the Audi.
Thx again for your post - my e-mail is always open - drop me line if you want.

OHH WOW push the envelope!! That's what I was born for. Seeing as I got a ticket for doing 130+ on the highway I'm looking for other means to push my car. Is it a road course or a circle track or something like the salt flats? If it tests top speeds I'm guessing circle track.
I did attend an Audi drivers training course in Michigan. I learned that I really had no clue of how to drive my car. Drop me an email and I'll hopefully get my dig cam out of hibernation and drop u some pics from the event in Michigan. That was the first time I did any type of "racing"....it was amazing.
OOps forgot to give you the heads up on the insurance. I pay around 2k a year. I can't believe my Porsche costs only 300 more dollars a year than my Audi TT. I'm insured through Progressive...they said they'll insure ANTHING, though you may not like the price.
TY for your response - Dreams of owning a McClaren F1

Serious Pet Peeves
by patio34 indon't mean to be gripey, but would like to vent about two observations i've made lately:.
1) a mother whose child wouldn't follow her soon enough at the grocery store.
she said "okay, goodbye!

Very understandable. "Men looking at womaen's chests", from a 30 year old male viewpoint......even if you are in your 50's and if you cover up everything, you may still have someone who "checks you out". Not defending or condoning but sometimes it just happens.
I've noticed guys who look at my girlfriend. They check out the face first, than I always notice the eyes dropping to a lower part of her body.

American Idol, Who's watching?
by TheStar inam i the only shmuck on this board watching this every week?
please say i'm not.

Don't know - don't care. So we need more"idols" for people to worship.
I'm sure I'll catch hell for this post but I just want to state my opinions. I'm probobly better looking and more talented and more educated than most of the male participants. I don't go on a TV show to try to prove it. The only thing these people are after is money and fame. I have the best of both worlds.......I have money and no fame.
I don't even watch network TV, especially the local news, because it makes me sick to my stomache.
Teen Idol, Who Wants To be a Millionare, Survivor, Weakest Link, I won't even dignify Springer, Road Rules ( I actually liked that one) and MTVs Real World.
All of these programs are geared to thinking you may have some chance to get rich and famous, that you are special, and that if you play the LOTTO you WILL WIN. You're only "rich and special" to your loved ones and friends.
10% of the United States of America payes 90% of the taxes!!!!! Why do I say this? It shows that wealthy people have to carry the burdon for most of America. Think about it....imagine what the tax revenue for the government is for the NFL, MLBA, NBA and other major sports players.................not to mention the owners of Frotune 500 companies! Think of the millions of dollars they are being taxed on! NO! I'm not saying people who don't have money are to be considered any less important than those who are financially stable. What I'm saying is that I get pissed when someone who knows nothing about me says I'm an A-Hole because he doesn't like the car I'm driving. (I'm not claiming exact statistics, but they're damn close) The only things programs like this do is give a false sense of over-inflated self-esteem and a small glimmer of hope of being that one-in-a-million person who will make news headlines and be financially independent. Do something more productive to society. Donate to a non-profit oranization, volunteer, get an education, help friends who are in need! BE A FRIEND! Get involved in things like this site and SL. Show love to your family and neighbors.
You can rip me apart but I am an extremely caring and supportive person. This reply has nothing to do with any of the post participants but is a statement in general. Do I donate to chartible organizations, YES! ask B.B.
Sorry to rant...I think my points are valid.
