Former Unbaptized Publisher, New Here
by GloomySunday informer unbaptized publisher, here.. i'm new to the forums and have hesitated for months to join this forum.
i was raised in a jw family, and was never baptized, because one of my parents didn't think i should be baptized early.. my mother became inactive, but i eventually went back for social contact, eventually starting a study.
i raised a few questions, only to find that the conductor would get irritated and defensive when my questions would get deeper into the topic.

Why does god kill children?
by Comatose ini was thinking about all the accounts in the bible that indicate god kills children as a punishment or teaching experience.
1. kills all of egypts firstborn sons, who were innocent kids who did nothing to him or his people, who had no control over the decisions pharoah made.
how many times have you read that account or thought about it without realizing the devastating pain dealt to all those parents, and remembered those were innocent kids?.

@ Cold Steel
The difference between me and your god is that if I saw a child being raped I would do something about it.

Heartwarming JW Facebook Comment
by exwhyzee inthis urban legend/anecdote was on the facebook page of a jw who is a facebook friend of mine.
it's kind of long but tell us what you think....it was all i could do to stop myself from making a snarky comment.
a young couple very much wanted to have a family, but his wife could not conceive, so they decided to adopt a baby.

I knew of an old JW couple whose only son died in Vietnam who adopted/fostered 2 teenage sisters.
They set about terrorizing the parents and burn quite a large sum of money the parents had.
They were eventually returned some how. Never heard that experience at an assembly.

Hi! Life story of young, 23-year-old (gay), disassociated, non-baptized publisher
by HillCountry inhello, this is my first post and the first time i have told my entire story, albeit abridged, to anyone.
it will be a long story, sorry.. my grandparents were brought up with different religious backgrounds but converted to bible students around the depression era.
later, my grandfather met my grandmother through the congregation and got married until his death, having a marriage that lasted over four decades.

Hi,
I'm also gay, born in and never baptised left on my 21st birthday and about to have my 10th anniversary with my partner in Jan.
It does get better. My teenage years like most gay JW kids was hell. It was such a relief to get out into the real world.
There is a gayexjw support group on Facebook with over 500 members here. http://www.facebook.com/groups/37475079005/
and also A Common Bond http://www.gayxjw.org/

I think they lie about their figures. I've lived at this address for over 12 months and never seen a witness around here.

A question for Athiests
by EndofMysteries ini really do not understand how any can be athiests from thinking real hard about it.
how can you think everything on this earth just happened?.
from my understanding, to be athiest, this is pretty much how it goes.

You believe a talking snake made a naked woman eat some fruit 6000 years ago but those scientific fact are just wrong. mmm
Now which sounds sillier.
