JWD has spoken - Bugger off Bush
Oh yes, and I'd say there's thousands of us in NSW who'd agree with you! It seems incredible to me that a government (especially an Australian one) should even think about making their major city out of bounds to its own citizens and, as if that weren't disruption enough, enforcing all businesses close down for a day by declaring Friday a Public Holiday. The disruption to society and the economy is enormous.
For those of you not downunder, I'll repeat this to make it clear (you'll probably find it hard to believe in a democracy), NSW residents have been told not to enter Sydney on Friday. Did you get that? It's curfew time for us!
And for what? A bloody gabfest!
Amazingly i thought, just a few days ago i was in the bar of one of Sydney's top hotels and there was our head of governemnt simply sitting at a table chatting over a drink with a friend - no bodyguards, no entourage in sight, simply two ordinary men amongst the rest of us. That's the usual Aussie way, we don't take to people putting on airs, yet our sycophantic Prime Minister cowtows to his merry can mate and dances to his tune. Appalling! The sooner we have a different leader the better too!
