all baptized witnesses are ordained ministers and share in the preaching and teaching work.

JW elders are not paid and are not clergy like the clergy of christendom either and the term paid clergy does not have to imply that JW have an unpaid clergy. It could simply mean that JW don’t have a clergy and that their ministers don't get paid as the clergy of Christendom does.
I agree, but up to a point. Take for example those elders residing at Bethel homes (branch offices). They receive a paid allowance, meagre I agree, but an allowance nontheless. They are a paid clergy in much the same way as a minister at my church.
Much of what is claimed by the Witchtower about “Christendom’s” clergy is simply untrue but still the borgmasters parrot it. They have to, you see, to keep the R&F loyal to them - they are the “true christians” after all, aren’t they?
at the 2021 annual meeting, samuel herd revealed new light and claimed the anointed will all have passed away before armageddon.
it has since been revealed that while they will die before armageddon, there will be some anointed still around that will witness the start of the great tribulation.. so the question is, how many years until the existing members of the governing body have passed away?.
im not a doctor, but based on their age and various stages of obesity, im thinking 10- 15 years- give or take, sounds about right.. with that in mind, the great tribulation could be announced any day.. the new understanding has now freed the org from the burden of having to identify a particular generation in relation to the date of armageddon.
They may even declare the great tribulation is the new normal of the world condition, making the switch from 'we are living in the last days' to 'we are living in the great tribulation'.
The July issue of Craptower (Study Edition) discusses at length the end-times prophecies with their unique interpretations, yet doesn’t even mention the great tribulation, not once.
Have they given up on that gem of fear-mongering ?
Maybe joey jojo is right, and “new lightTM” is to be revealed.

But the Bible does say that there is an elite group that goes to heaven whoever they are and that not everyone goes to heaven
Can you elaborate?

If Watchtower and their international team of lawyers can't silence Kevin McFree, what chance does Lloyd Evans have against any of us for speaking our minds? The answer is zero chance.
Right on Kevin McFree ! You’re my man. Love his videos.

It is threads like this that leave me incredulous - how did I , how did WE ever believe this stuff ?
i’m still a good christian.
i still believe the bible.. i don’t like the wt society, but some of the people, as individuals are good.
there are many nasty jws also.. i have concerns about current events and how close the end actually is.
Personally, I think you're trolling or lack the ability to discuss things properly.
There’s been many over the years. Things don’t change,

But, when making their sales pitch to the gullible, they claim to have not have a clergy class.
Yep, and the facts show that millions are “gullible”.
No wonder politicians get believed too !
