  it shares the same "ex-jw" mindset we supposedly all have.

  Now I am so much older, I have seen at first hand how easy it is to fall back into the legalistic mindset of the dubs.

  Will we ever be completely free of the jw mindset ?

  I know because I've helped raise money to get them for other channels. It's possible lesser known academics may not charge if they're promoting a book or something, though it's doubtful. It's how many of them make a living.

  we seem to have had an influx of religiots - the people who want to tell us all about how we / the wts / whoever are wrong, wrong, wrong about everything and how right they are.

  they obviously have special insight, or voices (probably voices, right?

  ) telling them the real truth.. as proof, there is inevitably a wall of random scripture references and quotes.. sorry, but we're not here for that.

  Hey, wot about me ? !

  Locally near me in the U.K there are some vibrant Churches with wonderful, loving communities of members, which some may confuse with the more extreme types of Church, but they are not, they don't even pressure preach when you display lots of interest, it is all very loving.

  It’s all about the label it seems.

  Downunder we view evangelical chiristians differently and certainly not like those in the USA who claim that label.
