I'm not saying Jesus was a false prophet BUT I am suggesting that the Jewish leaders at the time were going by their rules, there criteria as to who this Jesus was to them: possibly as false prophet.

Even though the Pharisees knew of Jesus' miracles performed, did they not go by Mosaic law regarding false prophets?
by I_love_Jeff indeut.
18:20-22. shouldn't god give them a break and allow them a second chance?
they were only following the rules.

Why have the Pharisees been deemed unforgiven and forever in the grave
by I_love_Jeff inwhy is it that many believe that the pharisees who spoke against jesus/holy spirit will not be given a second chance?
i know jesus said that it is blasphemy to speak against holy spirit.
did they not follow their mosaic laws and teach others about the rules within the torah?

The Mosaic law had a test for false prophets (Deut. 18:20-22).....Even though the Pharisees knew of his miracles performed, did they not go by Mosaic law regarding false prophets?

The fact that it is not mentioned after the resurrection, lends itself to the idea that it cannot still be committed. In fact, the indication from passages such as 1 John 1:7,9 is that "all unrighteousness" that a person could commit today can be forgiven by the blood of Jesus. A scholar states: "In the same scripture our Lord gave full assurance that every sin and blasphemy against the ‘Son of man' shall be forgiven him. Today the gospel of Christ is to be preached to every man on earth and any man on earth may be saved by obeying the gospel (Mark 16:15-16)"

Why is it that many believe that the Pharisees who spoke against Jesus/Holy Spirit will not be given a second chance? I know Jesus said that it is blasphemy to speak against Holy Spirit. Did they not follow their Mosaic Laws and teach others about the rules within the Torah? Many Jewish people today feel that the Messiah has not yet come. How is it that the Pharisees, according to the Jehovah's Witnesses, will not be resurrected since they DID believe in God and followed the Mosaic Laws?
The Pharisees were totally convinced that their laws (both written and oral) and religious observances were correct. The idea of the Messiah breaking these laws was unthinkable to them.
Throughout His ministry, Jesus violated many of their oral laws. He mixed freely with tax collectors and sinners, making Him ceremonially unclean (Luke 7:39)
In the Pharisees' eyes, Jesus was guilty of law breaking and blasphemy. The idea of Jesus criticising them was an outrage (Luke 6:11). They also saw Him as a threat to their popularity and their authority over the people (Luke 13:17).
Did the Pharisees not fear the Roman rulers as well? According to the Pharisees, Jesus was causing problems and if it was not taken care of immediatley, the Pharisees would have been most likely guilty of harboring an opposer to the Roman Government and put to death because of Jesus' rebellious nature?
Is it fair to automatically deem the Pharisees as unforgiven and forever to remain in the grave? Jehovah's Witnesses and other religions automatically assume such a fate for these Pharisees BUT the Bible does not give us that information.
What is your take on all this? Forgiven or not? Please consider the Pharisees' teachings and mind-frame at the time Jesus walked the earth.
I personally do not see them unforgiven and actually allowed a second chance. "Forgive them for they not know what they do"?? Who said that? And to whom did he say it?

Since when are the WatchtowerÂ’s implications on certain passages to be automatically considered accurate & true when the same technique is used by the Catholics?
by I_love_Jeff in1) the so-called perfect creation of adam & eve:.
since when is "very good" equivalent to the word "perfect"?.
"there was no defect at all, just as there is no defect in anything that god does.

I have two example:
1) The so-called perfect creation of Adam & Eve:
Since when is "very good" equivalent to the word "perfect"?
"There was no defect at all, just as there is no defect in anything that God does. Man's start was perfect."
Since "very good" is merely implied as that of being perfect? Jehovah's Witnesses claim that Adam & Eve were perfect but it does not state that anywhere in the Bible. They go by common sense stating that since God is perfect, he made His first creation, Adam and Eve, perfect. With that in mind, there are many common sense statements throughout the Bible strongly implying some truth to the Catholic doctrine called "The Trinity".Leading into my second example: should we not give the Catholics the benefit of the doubt regarding their strong arguments/implications for the Trinity doctrine?
2) Another example is the Witlesses' understanding of Jesus being that of Michael the Archangel. They always say that since the word "Trinity" is not in the Bible, it should not be a teaching. Hummm. Same applies to their teachings on Jesus equaling Michael the Archangel, there is not one passage stating Jesus is Michael. It is merely based on weak implications when compared to the overwhelming findings of the Trinity doctrine within the Bible.
Watchtower 2/1/2010 page 22 "Neither the word "Trinity" nor the concept is found in God's Word."
Keeping this in mind, what gives the JWs the right to say they have the truth when in fact they have certain weak teachings based on mere speculation? What gives them the right to point fingers and judge other religions correlating them to that of "the Beast" in the Book of Revelation and using the word "Christiandom" as a negative connotation associated with the figure of Satan?

Where in the Bible does it state that Adam & Eve were created prefectly?
by I_love_Jeff inis it automatically assumed since god is perfect?
the bible states: "god saw everything he had made and, look!
it was very good.

Is it automatically assumed since God is perfect? The Bible states: "God saw everything he had made and, look! it was very good." (Genesis 1:31)
The Witlesses state: "There was no defect at all, just as there is no defect in anything that God does. Man's start was perfect."
Since when is "very good" equivalent to "perfect"?

Why is it that the Pharisees will be given a second chance yet Adam & Eve will be forever in the grave
by I_love_Jeff indid they all not sin against holy spirit?
one group is not forgiven yet his "earthly parents lost [sinned against-strongly implied] holy spirit" and therefore, will not be roaming the grounds of paradise earth?
how is that fair?.

Did they all not sin against holy spirit? One group is not forgiven yet His "earthly parents lost [sinned against-STRONGLY IMPLIED] holy spirit" and therefore, will not be roaming the grounds of Paradise Earth? how is that fair?
Adam:
Although Adam was created as a "son of God," we, his imperfect, sin-infected offspring, were not born into the sonship of Jehovah God. (Luke 3:38) Therefore, we do not naturally have the witness of God's holy spirit with our own human spirit that we are the children of God. 4/1/80 pg 19 par.14
His earthly parents had lost holy spirit because of willfully breaking God's commandment. (Holy Spirit, Ch. 3, pg.44, par.20
Pharasees:
The Pharisees clearly saw God's spirit at work in Jesus to accomplish good, yet for selfish reasons they attributed this power to Beelzebub, Satan the Devil, thereby blaspheming God's holy spirit.-Mt 12:22-32; compare Heb 6:4-6; 10:26, 27. (Insight Volume 1, pg 339)
*The first paragraph is strongly implying that Adam and Eve sinned against Holy Spirit*
Is this type of twisted reasoning a perfect way to deceitfully scare new recruits into joining the Jehovah's Witlesses????

Is this another scare tactic for the weak-minded Jehovah's Witness recruits and experienced members?
by I_love_Jeff inwhere in the bible does it state that adam and eve are unrepentant sinners and therefore deemed forever in the grave with no chance of resurrection, of course?
is this another scare tactic for the weak-minded recruits?
i believe their theory is based on mere speculation and simply used to convince the new recruits as well as the experienced members to refrain from questioning/going against their superiors otherwise jehovah will deem you an unrepentant sinner.

Excellent point "new hope and happiness". I'd like to know where it states that as well.
