Why are the Jehovah's Witnesseses allowed to call others names such as "Satan" or "viper" for example
by I_love_Jeff inif jesus and jehovah are the only ones who can/allowed to read hearts.
in other words, jesus and jehovah give themselves permission to judge the pharisees/ sadducees.
why are the jehovah's witnesses allowed to call others names such as "satan" or "viper" for example if they are not allowed/able to read hearts?.

I understand that since Jesus said some vicious comments to the Pharisees/Sadducees, such words would be deemed as acceptable to the Jehovah's Witness Dictionary of insults.
"Jehovah can read hearts, while we cannot. This in itself is a good reason for us not to be judgmental. We do not know all of another person's motives. We should try to imitate Jehovah by not fixing our attention on human imperfections, which will eventually disappear."

Is "Old Light" really called independent thinking?
by I_love_Jeff inwhen "old light" becomes "new light" sometime down the line the "new light" will eventually become old.
i do realize the superiors use passages (aka word magic) to explain such a big change.
what would be the difference between holy spirit revelation vs. man's opinion in this particular situation?

What would be the difference between Holy Spirit revelation vs. man's opinion in this particular situation? Since Holy Spirit never makes a mistake, are the Superiors actually using independent thinking and/or possessed by other spirits when switching from "old light" to "new"?

Is their understanding of unity a form of mind control?
by I_love_Jeff innote the following comments and research taken from a concise dictionary of cults and religions:.
what [jehovah's witnesses] define as unity is actually, in effect, a rigid organizational structure and policy.
unity, as the bible teaches it, is a oneness of spirit and humility under the lordship of jesus christ.

Note the following comments and research taken from A Concise Dictionary of Cults and Religions:
What [Jehovah's Witnesses] define as unity is actually, in effect, a rigid organizational structure and policy. Unity, as the Bible teaches it, is a oneness of spirit and humility under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. (Romans 12:15-16; 14:19; 15:5-7; 1 Peter 3:8)
"Accordingly, as Jehovah's people, we are united because we accept Jehovah's sovereignty, love our brothers, hope in God's Kingdom, and respect the ones God uses to take the lead among us. Jehovah helps us to overcome certain attitudes that because of our imperfection could otherwise threaten our unity.-Rom. 12:2."
"Because present-day elders cooperate with the faithful and discreet slave class, all in the congregation are encouraged and assisted to remain united. (1 Cor. 1:10) When we submit to the Bible-based instruction from Jehovah's organization and follow the direction of the elders, we give proof that we are "earnestly endeavoring to observe the oneness of the spirit in the uniting bond of peace."-Eph. 4:3."

Was Paul's understanding of unity based on doctrinal conformity?
by I_love_Jeff in"do you appreciate jehovah's earthly organization?
" the watchtower of november 1, 1991 makes the following statements:.
"fitly united in the same mind".

"Do You Appreciate Jehovah's Earthly Organization?" The Watchtower of November 1, 1991 makes the following statements:
"Fitly United in the Same Mind"
One outstanding feature of a diamond is its close-knit, strongly bonded atomic structure. Similarly, Jehovah's earthly organization manifests an unmatched unity in doctrine and brotherhood...
Clearly, those who desire to serve God can only turn to the one organization that enjoys Jehovah's spirit and blessing. (p. 30, 31)
Was Paul trying to make the Corinthians all think alike?

Why have the Pharisees been deemed unforgiven and forever in the grave
by I_love_Jeff inwhy is it that many believe that the pharisees who spoke against jesus/holy spirit will not be given a second chance?
i know jesus said that it is blasphemy to speak against holy spirit.
did they not follow their mosaic laws and teach others about the rules within the torah?

"They did not understand that they were slaves to sin; They failed to see that they needed to repent from their sins and embrace the message of Christ, the Messiah that they ought to have recognized."
Is their ignorance forgiven? Are they to be buried in Gehenna for all eternity since they did not understand the true teachings of Jesus? Is that fair? Most people in the world are ignorant of Jesus' teachings. Are they condemmed as well?

Even though the Pharisees knew of Jesus' miracles performed, did they not go by Mosaic law regarding false prophets?
by I_love_Jeff indeut.
18:20-22. shouldn't god give them a break and allow them a second chance?
they were only following the rules.

I'm not saying Jesus was a false prophet BUT I am suggesting that the Jewish leaders at the time were going by their rules, there criteria as to who this Jesus was to them: possibly as false prophet.
