If Daniel was the chief of the Magoi then why did God choose a pagan to be a prophet?
by I_love_Jeff intwo part question:.
if god allowed daniel to be chief of the magoi, why would the magi be considered bad in the eyes of jah, according to the jehovah's witnesses?
the jehovah's witnesses of course believe that the magi, pagan astrologers, were not god's messengers because of their dabblings in the occult.

Did Jehovah use non-believers to accomplish His will?
by I_love_Jeff in(again we have a questioned geared toward the jehovah's witnesses who strongly believe the star was a horama (illusion) crafted by satan.
this horama supposedly directed the magi who were apparently influenced by satan.).
if so, then what is wrong with god allowing the magi to accomplish his will by sending them out to find the christ?.

Did you know that the Magi were instructed by Daniel, their Chief Priest? He most likely told them about the birth of the Savior.
Did you also know that In the days of the "ANCIENT", ASTRONOMY and ASTROLOGY were COMBINED in the "science" of "stargazing" and those who specialized in "stargazing" were called "wise men"?
Who were these ancient astrologers/astronomers called the Magi? Will someone give us a brief synopsis, please?
How does the history of the Magi compare to the version given by the Jehovah's Witnesses?

My last question needs to be revised. Here it is: Why did Jehovah allow the Prophet Daniel to be the Chief of the Magi?
by I_love_Jeff in........if jehovah considered the magi to be practitioners of the occult arts?.
*daniel was appointed chief of magi by king darius.. *jehovah thought highly of king darius- jehovah used king darius of persia to praise his holy name throughout persia (daniel 6:16-27).
this question is geared toward the jehovah's witnesses who believe that the magi was directed by satan because of their supposed practice of the occult arts.. .

God controls the skies and the rain (Psalm 77:16-19)
If God controls the skies then Satan has no power to control a Star let alone the planets, according to the Bible of course.

Two part question:

The Jehovah's Witnesses of course believe that the Magi, pagan astrologers, were not God's messengers because of their dabblings in the occult. If that were true then why did God move the Star after the Magi talked to Herod? Why didn't God just get rid of the Magi somehow if they were considered pratitioners of an occult art which is automatically deemded wicked in God's eyes?

by I_love_Jeff inwhy is jesus seen as a man of peace and michael as a warrior?
are they both not the same and have the same opinions about non violence?

Why are the Jehovah's Witnesses not allowed to carry a weapon (for protection) during field service?
by I_love_Jeff inif jesus allowed peter to carry a sword for protection, why are the jehovah's witnesses against carry a weapon during their "fun" door-to-door adventuring?
it seems jesus did not mind that peter carried a sword if we read luke 22:36-38. is it another case of picking and choosing what works for their man-made doctrine?.
is defending oneself a violent act, according to the jehovah's witnesses?

I need your help friends. Which logical fallacy is being used here?
by I_love_Jeff injw states: since the apostles made mistakes, it is okay for us to make mistakes as well".
is it the logical fallacy of "two wrongs make a right"?
the apostles were directed by god, the governing body is not.

Actually, if it were "two wrongs make a right" that would be justifying the mistakes made by the Jehovah's Witnesses even though their teachings are not of God.

The apostles were directed by God, the Governing Body is not. I am sure this has been posted many times but am in dire need of a quick response at the moment, thank you kindly : )
