I am not seeing anything new. Just that they can say hello to disfellowshipped people. I was aware of all of that I just wasnât sure if something different had happened since that announcement. The behavior of all of them is completely different. Maybe it was just an internal family decision, but they donât usually lean towards leniency as they use the punishment as emotional blackmail

i left when i was 20, i was disfellowshipped for five years, went back to it for family and left again shortly after.
i never got disfellowshipped again so that i could talk to my parents.

Can anyone point me in the direction of articles to read about the ânew lightâ about hanging out with family members who are not believers? I left when I was 20, I was disfellowshipped for five years, went back to it for family and left again shortly after. I never got disfellowshipped again so that I could talk to my parents. My family did their own internal disfellowshipping essentially, yet in the past few months they have acted like nothing is wrong and are welcoming and inclusive. I find going onto the JW website completely overwhelming, if someone could point out some links here or there to read about their change of mind I would appreciate it.
