You have to be an elder like John the Baptist was or else it does not count.

The Most Insane Thing Ever Printed by the Watchtower?
by Leolaia ini found this while perusing through old golden ages at the new york public library.
it is so patently ridiculous and offensive, i thought i'd just post the thing without comment.

If your dog gets a blood transfusion, he won't get into heaven or paradise. I guess all dogs DON'T go to heaven.

Exciting experience about Amish couple joining JWs - and the shunning begins!
by Bonnie_Clyde inmy daughter is also on her email list.
i believe my daughter has informed her that i dont go to meetings any more, and i think my friend is trying to encourage me.
however, my daughter has shunned me, my husband and her two brothers for almost five years even though none of us are dfd.

If only there was a way to get these Amish folks google so they could see what they are getting into.... sigh...

Connect the Dots in the Awake!?
by euripides inrecently, i saw an issue of despertad!
sitting around in a public place and leafed through it idly.
at the back of it, on the inside page opposite back page, was something like 'family fun' and a connect-the-dots game of joshua, or something like that.

Regular Pioneer hour requirement?
by tinker inmy son the 'elder' stopped in last night.
he does not shun us but our visits are few and far between.
he mentioned in passing that he and his wife began reg pioneering last oct. i know the hour requirement is way down from my pioneering years of 100hr per month.

Pioneers do not punch a clock remember. If they had to count their time like a normal job, where it starts when they get to the jobsite and ends when they leave and time stops when they are on a break (I will even give them the quick bathroom breaks) most of them would never get their time in.
We used to call a lot of pioneers in my hall "secret service" because whenever they were out was a big secret since no one ever saw them!

Just owned (and pwned) a Jehovah's Witness website owner! Must Read!
by garbonzo inso i emailed the owner website that sells various jw and creationsit stuff, a guy who is supposedly a jw with these simple words:
why is your website so hard to navigate?
to which he must have taken negatively, and went on the defensive in an instant.

Reform on blood issue?!?!
by Wishididntknow innot sure of the validity of this but i thought i would put out there.... danny hazard seems like a loose cannon...but...your thoughts?.
associated jehovah's witnesses for reform on blood are announcing the beginning of the end of the jehovah's witness blood doctrine.. since 2000 the watchtower society was forced to change their semantics on how they handle punishing its members for taking blood transfusions to save their lives.the european court of human rights negotiated this change when the country of bulgaria refused to acknowledge the watchtower society as a religion, due to the fact that the watchtower punished its members for accepting needed medical procedures to save their own, or their children's lives with blood transfusions.. but ajwrb has been tracking the development of these changes, and we have searched for any actual occurrences of a jw (who wants to stay a jw) getting disassociated for taking a blood transfusion.we have not found a one.
in the past we have not been able to get watchtower service dept.

There would at least be a letter to all bodies of elders if this were true and we would find out very quickly.

drew: Thanks, that was what I was afraid of. I have much to lose (not talking about friends) if I get DF'd right now.
