  So, you wouldn't want to use these titles either:

  Does the Bible Teach? or What, the Bible Teach? or Really?

  So, we're left with:

  i was looking at the long list of jw "don'ts" and "can'ts" someone posted here and i was reminded of a talk at the service meeting an elder gave once.

  it was from one of the most elementary of publications (aren't they all???

  ) and the elder on the platform said, "i'll speak slowly for the sisters.

  elderette: "Someone should talk to her because she's made an effort to be here. You should go honey you're an elder"

  Elder:"What should I say?"

  My gorgeous husband has grown a full beard! He looks fantastic. I adore hairy men. Even in 100* heat he says he will never have a hairless face again. Before we were dubs he had always sported the full beard but shaved when he was studying. So I guess it was natural for him to grow it back. YIPPEE

  Thank you thank youthank you... Ya know this is really tough to explain to someone who just keeps saying "well I don't see it" and you know what I don't see it anymore either. So I just show her the verses and say well "some people believe this ..." I mean what else can I say?

  Why do active witnesses frequent the site?

  i'm somewhat currious why active witnesses appear to frequent the site, and if the information on this site causes any to "fade away" or "dis-associate"?.

  personally if i have known 18 years ago what i know now i would have been a lot more active in trying to convince all i cared about to leave, instead of fading away [gone with a bang so to speak].

  it's funny how when you are in it you can't see it for what it is.

  Welcome Ronald. You seem quite affected by this movie. I've been equally affected by film...you realise of course that a good director can manipulate your emotions at will. Take Stephen Spielberg --- His films build this "good" feeling about his subject and then he knocks 'em off only to bring a few characters out alive. That's when you feel really really euphoric. Mel Gibson was brilliant in his marketing. He caused controversy months before his films release --- and raked in the moo-laa.

  You might check out some other first century Christ's. Apollonius Christ is a good one. Also, there are many "hero dies to save humans" stories from the middle east, north africa, and eastern europe. Also, if you choose to believe this story you might want to consider that we have nothing that is specifically written by Jesus Christ. Quotes which are considered to be from Jesus have the ring of Buddhism which would certainly have traveled along the trade routes west as it had east into China... BTW Judaism also travelled to China.

  i just answered a question "off the top of my head" to a question which brought to my mind something that i heard at a talk at our assembly that has "bothered" me and i am hoping for some clarification as i would never want to be accused of what this topic is about .... .

  it was a talk at our recent assembly that brought out a 'new one' for me ...or perhaps i just haven't heard of it as yet ... .

  Good grief... as if WTS wants to get weirder and weirder. But there has always been that witch hunter mentality in the org. Next time you see an elder put your hand on your head and say "quick tell me what I'm thinking."

  OK so who are these under 25 year olds? Are they somebodies great grandkids? Because it seems to me that their parents and grand parents are leaving or inactive. The corporation will go on and on, just like every other money maker religion.
