  Its not unusual. Did anyone mention Oprah? Also maybe they are chefs AND secret service. I mean heck plenty of Brits hate President Bush, so poisoning may be a reason to have your own guys cook.

  Sphere, I'm with you.

  The destruction of family life in America has not come about through homosexuals, divorce and everything that leads up to it ranks way up there as number one in the end of society. Who's to blame? Everyone: The abusive spouses and parents, The men and women who find that rather than trying they just get divorced. I know I'll take heat for that statement, bomb away. I've seen such horrible fighting over custody etc., the kids hate the fighting, they want Mom and Dad, and Mom and Dad have a responsibility to help those children get over Mom and Dad's selfish CHOICES in life. Yes selfihness is a CHOICE. What parents CHOOSE is not a CHOICE for the children.

  There are permisquious(see I can't even spell that, it kind of looks like per-mosquito). ppl both hetero and homosexual.

  You will never change the sexual preferences of ppl. It's just that simple. And this is getting out of hand. Marriage is a contract. Many Americans have civil ceremonies rather than religious ones. It amazes me that anyone gay would still believe in the Bible, but hey that's their choice. And I mean it, religious faith is a choice, homosexuality is not a choice.

  If gayness and not child molesters and abusers were supported in our society things would definitley be better. Shouldn't we be searching for cures to cancer rather than worrying about gay or not? Sheeesh, there are much better ways to gauge a persons "goodness."

  edited to add: The above statement just jumped out and bit me ... it's a straw man isn't it? HEHEHE

  Literture offer for Dec.

  in the dec k/m of australia, the literture offer for december is "you can live forver" book.

  i assume that the offer is the same in other countries.. i think it really shows how the wts doesn't have respect even for its own version of truth.

  the "live forever" supports the old theology of the "generations", which has being removed since 1995. they should at least destroy these books which teach what they don't even believe, but they seem to be interested in getting same money for them.

  Opinions Please....Engagement Timing

  i've been seeing a very nice guy for two months now, every day, almost every minute.

  as you know it can become very obvious when a guy is about to pop the question.. i have been very honest with him about when i'd be willing to marry, which is to say not until i graduate from college which is still a 1 1/2 years away, of course i hear things like "well a couple can wait but be commited right"?.

  anyway i've bounced this off of my friends and have several opinions already but i thought i'd ask it here.. how long would you date someone before you considered accepting an engagement ring?

  there are generally two types of arguments against theism whether we are talking about the judeo-christian-islamic god, the god of deism, the hindu pantheon....whatever.

  the "rational" arguments include all scientific, logical and historical problems with a supreme and all-loving being and include such fields as evolutionary biology, deconstruction of "holy" texts, archaeology, formal logic, etc.

  science in particular has been eliminating the "explanatory" aspect of theism for hundreds of years now -- from copernicus to newton to darwin to einstein -- all, knowingly or unknowingly, willingly or unwillingly, have had a share in shattering faith.

  Life is not warm and fuzzy (like Bradley said). Life is about survival and the continuation of DNA (that's why we like sex so much). We are the carriers, that's it, and because that's all there is many folks who claim humans are extra special "creations" don't care to face the bare animal facts about homo sapiens. By claiming that all of creation must have a creator, well of course that's true. However the universe, this planet, you and me are not examples of creation. We are terrific examples of opportunistic punctuated equiliria. Because we survive many organisms that count on us also survive. We see how a virus will evolve (quickly) when it finds a new habitat ex., human rather than ducks or chickens. Of course this evolution of virus also works for our benefit. A good example of this is syphilus. Less than a millenium ago syphilus would kill it's victims in a matter of months, yes mere months. By the 19th century VD patients were living for years with the active virus. What happened? The virus mutated in order to infect more people (no it wasn't getting a conscience or anything). A person who is too sick to get out of bed will not infect anyone or very few others. If the virus is not quickly lethal it's chances of survival to infect others is assured. Like I said this evolution took less than a thousand years.

  So is a struggle for everything living. We should admire the fact that we actually have a larger hand in that than any god does. If we understand our position on this planet and live for now not for heavenly existencew we'll try harder (like the virus) to accomodate ourselves to our habitat not kill off the planet but help it live longer.   Well, I say if we will have polygamy we should also have polyandry (which is still practiced in Tibet despite the government trying to suppress tribal traditions)

  Yeru is a nice guy don't start name calling and person bashing. I recall that Green had married 2 stepdaughters --- both underage, so that's rape and child abuse.

  SFJim, I know what you mean. I recently had to explain to a friends religious uncle that NAMBLA is not homosexual it's child molesting-sick-bastards. People really ought to check out the meaning of words before they ramble. Good grief people, I grew up around homosexuals and they aren't the ones who molested me. Nope it was my heterosexual brother in the Navy!

  edited to add:Stacy, I've asked men about the oral/ anal sex thing and wasn't that homosexual...never have gotten a good answer for that, and we probably never will. So really if men want oral sex does that mean they are not satisfied by vaginal intercourse. Also I've noticed only a few men are any good at oral sex performed on their partner... what's the deal?
