london (prweb uk) 8 october 2013. american biblical scholar joseph atwill will be appearing before the british public for the first time in london on the 19th of october to present a controversial new discovery: ancient confessions recently uncovered now prove, according to atwill, that the new testament was written by first-century roman aristocrats and that they fabricated the entire story of jesus christ.

Oct 6, 2013 - Irish singer, songwriter, author Sir Bob Geldof predicted: 'All humans will die before 2030' [becuse of climate change]. This whole movement with it's catastophic predictions is looking more and more like a doomsday religion. See you in 2031, beers are on me.

LOL...The gray is symbolic of stone, and they want you to know that this time they got it right, and now it's cast in stone.

Yes, good info Sammies... In addition to passing on the cost of R&D to the U.S. consumer, these firms also set their prices high while their patents hold, to make massive profits. That's where "extra" amount goes, and they are getting very rich even more so with ACA.

I thought the function of Congress was just to stop progress.
LOL...In this case it is.
But it's an important point ... the whole reason for the ACA is that the old system was unsustainable and a burden in the long term. US healthcare cost were way way beyond the rest of the worlds and getting worse.
I agree. I blame big pharma, and medical research firms for the high and unsustainable costs. I think that we here in the U.S. end up paying for the R&D and improved medical treatments that much of the rest of the world gets at a discount. Obamacare doesn't even begin to touch this component of the problem. Instead it just sticks hard working people with a bigger bill.
Americans are tired of wasteful, poorly conceived government ideas.

Did you miss the memo that the US is producing more oil than #1 Russia and a steady march out of a nasty Recession with more taxes coming into the Treasury, plus there is room to cancel the Bush tax cuts and raise additional revenue if needed.
If there is so much new money available, and that is true, then why is it that the dems are seeking to raise the debt ceiling?

Whatever opinions on the rights and wrongs of ACA is immaterial - it's law, it needs to be respected because it became law through the democratic processes in place.
Simon, just because something is the law doesn't mean that is the end of the story. If a law is passed and their is no means to pay for it, or problems are encountered implementing it, than negotiations must logically follow. The function of congress is to control the budget. It is their job to parse out the dirty details of a bills that are passed, and figure out how to pay for it, connect it to reality, and implement it.
So far the only way they can pay for this monstrosity is by raising the debt ceiling. What is the point of having a debt ceiling, if you're just going to raise it? Congress wants to negotiate with the dems on a few key pieces of the bill, however Reid and Obama refuse to negotiate, and therefore this is their shutdown. The house worked through the weekends to pass bills to fund all aspects of government except ACA to buy more time to figure the boondoggle out; meanwhile, Reid and Obama stayed home and/or played golf. Their lack of good work ethic in a time of crisis speaks volumes.

The Smoke and Mirrors of the Annual Meeting
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite inthe annual meeting seems to boil down to an opening talk about an "exciting new" bible museum and a closing talk about an "exciting new" new world translation.
sandwiched in between were the wt summary, a talk about indoctrinating the children fast/furious, and some "trip down memory lane.".
why would this "spiritual feast" seem to be anticlimactic?

Funny, I seem to recall that they always argued in the past that NWT was the `easiest to read` and that it was proof positive of jesus' backing. I think this is going to be received well at first by the RF but then they are going to see it for what it really is. It will be similair to how things went down with that aweful songbook they released last. The writing dept. has gone downhill faster than an avalanche.

Newly released New World Translation still full of numerous errors and abuses
by yadda yadda 2 inthought i'd start a thread discussing all the scriptures where the watchtower translation committee has taken liberties and abused verses they've translated in the nwt.. worst of all are the numerous places in the christian greek scriptures where 'jehovah' has been inserted where the tetragrammaton or any equivalent of it does not occur in any extant mss and where the context could just as easily mean, or even more likely mean, the identity being spoken of is jesus christ rather than the father.
although in many places out of the 237 in the nt where they have done this the identity is clearly or most probably the father (jehovah) as distinct from the son (jesus), there are dozens of occurrences where this is not the case.. here are a whole lot more scriptures abused by the translators of the nwt, copied from the freeminds website (article written j bowman, scholar):.
