  jehovah's witnesses teach worldwide that jesus arrived in 1874 1914.. i think i must have missed the wt explanation: why do we still celebrate the memorial of jesus if he returned already?.

  1 corinthians 11:26 "for as often as you eat this loaf and drink this cup, you keep proclaiming the death of the lord, until he arrives (erchomai).".

  let's break this down.. 1. jesus christ 'returned' arrived in 1914 (cause).. 2.

  BTW...do you have a damning Watchtower quote where they basically say in print that Jesus arrived in 1914 and is here with his earthly pawns?

  i almost wonder if some awakened, still-in, from this site is part of the writing department or illustrations and put that in there as an inside joke for us?.

  Funny, none of the jobs they portrayed show people performing vital things that keep the JW's alive and their internet religion going such as:

  • Bloodless surgery
  • Inventing/manufacturing tablets to view JW videos
  • Programming and graphic design for the JW.org website
  • CG Animation for Caleb videos
  • Architecting, and interpreting blueprints
  • Building a new space telescope for space pictures and awake farticles.
  • etc.

  Who will keep it all running after the smart people leave or die? The new and improved 2.0 JW religion was built from a corner stone of hypocrisy.

  after a thorough investigation and weighing of the evidence the grand jury has decided not to indict the officer.. the reaction so far seems as predicted - people refuse to accept that the result represents justice despite claims that is what they wanted.. there is now violence and vandalism, including gunshots.

  let's hope the police contain the troublemakers.. .

  I seriously doubt you'd find any conservative leaning blacks among the protesters. Why do you suppose that is? The fact is, liberalism has continued to fuel the black victimhood mentality, and has done more to keep the average black family down then anything else in the last 30 years.

  Wal-Mart Workers Plan Huge Protest on Black Friday

  wal-mart, which pays a top wage of $12.00+ to its full-time employees, is under attack, once again, by its employees and those who would like to unionize them.. i can't speak to the usa, but here in canada, most wal-mart employees are not full time.

  it is mostly a part-time employer, so zero benefits.

  in my opinion, that makes the $12.00+ look a lot smaller when you envision the actual paycheque.

  Tal - it's pretty crappy what workers allow stingy corporations like Wall-Mart to exploit their time for. Granted, many of these are entry level positions, which is fine, but so many companies keep long time employees at such low wages. I've always avoided Wal-Mart like the plague, and i'm rooting for the protesters on this one. It's definitely time for wages to increase, I was reading this opinion piece on stagnant wages several weeks back which I found interesting.

  I think this may be a turning point in our nations history for the worse. Many have actually chosen to support a fellon who robbed a store, and then attacked a police officer, rather than give the police officer who works on their behalf to maintain civilization, the benefit of the doubt. This is so irrational it suggests that this really isn't even about Michael Brown anymore, it's more about hatred of white people. It would be intersting to know what pecentage of the Black American community shares these feelings.

  I beleive they will legally retire the legal entity of the watchtower and re-open as jw. By doing this they can insulate themselves from future law suits, and jettison all of the past doctrine, and teachings that have become an embarassment.

  • Learning, I love learing, I'm currently working on my associates degree.
  • Traveling
  • Backpacking excursions into the lonely wilderness, and the rush of endorphines that you have when finding the perfect view, or seeing the world from a high summit or encountering wild life when you least expect it.
  • Definitely Single Malt Scotch's
  • The pursuit of great wine, wine tasting, culture etc.
  • Computers
  • Video games
  • Home theater, and watching rated R movies, and TV-MA in perfect sound
