It's unfortunate that more conservative republicans did not support the only real conservative in the race, Ron Paul.
I know he is only decent candidate on the table. He should ditch the republican party and start a new party of his own: the freedom party. I think he would actually have a shot.
My hope is that after his second term, when he has nothing to lose, he comes out as an atheist.
Don't bet on it, there is a better chance he would allow for Sharia law to be implemented, and cede US power to the interests of Muslims, Putin, and the U.N. Obama is not for freedom.

i had to sit though the the special talk yesterday "is it later than you think", the brother a good deal of time making the case that major earthquakes are on the rise, and how i should believe it is "later than i think" based on that fact.
i took a bit of time to research this today, and sure enough they are not.
the link below has a chart of major earthquakes since the mid nineties, and it clearly shows they are random and all over the place.
So if earthquakes great and small have always happened and are neccessary for the earth to function, could Jesus have possibly given a more vague sign of his presence - of what use is this to anyone except to be cruel?

An atheist would be wonderful and I mean that with absolute sincerity. I agree 100% with Hitchins that all religion is the problem (sorry liberal religions included).
Obama, Wright and the one they both hold in high esteem Mr. Farakhan all have one thing in common they are champions of the Muslim cause (their record on Womens rights is excellent btw...). Now ask yourself why would that be a problem for the leader of the free world? Is that really worth taking a gamble over?
