You misconstrued Singer's comment.
The full quote for those who don't click the link is;
"The life of a fetus is of no greater value than the life of a nonhuman animal at a similar level of rationality, self-consciousness, awareness, capacity to feel, etc.”Singer says, “If we compare a severely defective human infant with a nonhuman animal, a dog or a pig, for example, we will often find the nonhuman to have superior capacities, both actual and potential, for rationality, self-consciousness, communication and anything else that can plausibly be considered morally significant.”
It's not a moral position, he's just stating a fact. Are you saying a fetus has more rationality than say, a fly? Can a healthy animal communicate and reason better than a severely mentally handicapped child? What exactly is your problem with this?
I also think it's funny that you're aggrieved at Dawkins comments about 'mocking' religion, but you wouldn't mind seeing him hung drawn and quartered. In actuality you wish him to be murdered. I wonder which would be the greater misdeed?
