I challenged a Dub out in service

i was sitting in my car, finishing an egg mcmuffin before going to the grocery store when i noticed a dubbie going around talking to people in the parking lot.

i thought the chances were good she would approach me, and i decided i was going to do more than decline to take the pamphlet.. after i verified she was a jw, i said that i was a former member.

Elders' Password For JW.Org

does anyone know anything about this ..i heard from family that all letters and latest arrangements are accessible to elders on jw.org but they need to have a password.

wondered if anyelders here could give us it...or will it identify someone?.

The password is traceable but that doesn't really matter. They wouldn't care what docs he is downloading. However, if a password and log in were posted here that user would generate potentially millions of logins and that would set of red flags. We already have everything on there available without compremising ones self.

My wife just told me to move out...

because of "religious" differences, she now wants me to move out and "separate"...i said what biblical grounds does she have for her request?.

she couldnt respond...she said she'd rather be beaten up by me than have an "apostate" in the house.... this org definitely encourages conditional love.... i don't know what to do...by the way, we dont have children.

Do you want to stay and make things work?

Can you guys not talk about religion for the time and just love and respect each other? In the future could she ever accept you as the loving man that I assume you are even if you're not a witness? If you answer yes to those questions then try to make it work. Don't force your opinion on her. When she forces her be patient and quiet.

i'm usually a cognac drinker.

i love armagnac too.

and i enjoy a martini i invented---mandarin vodka with a slight bit, usually about a capful of chambord served in an ice cold martini glass.. this saturday i'm mixing with my gf's friends and family in conn. with some affluent people and i might want to try something different.

That sweet, tingling feeling...

that sweet, tingling feeling you get, no matter how hard life is at the time, when you remember that you're free.

that feeling reminds you that it's okay to not be sure about everything and it's okay to love persons even if they don't read the same literature or hold the same views as you.. it's okay to make mistakes because the people who love you will not pull back their love and association because of it.. the persons who are around you genuinely love you and are not just trying to portray 'love' because it looks good to 'potential' sheep.. it's even okay to try new things and it isn't a bad thing when you're actually enjoying life.. i don't have to try to be someone that i'm not and my worth is not, not.... my worth is not measured by a number on a piece of paper.. i can go through life at my own pace and i can be different.. that feeling reminds me that i can be myself!.

i know that you get that feeling also.

Who are considered as being wicked by JW's?

during the public talk last week the elder giving the talk.

mentioned the tragedy in newton, conn where an evil.

man killed 27 innocent people including 20 children.

99.9% will be destroyed according to them. 7 million is a tenth of 1% of 7 billion. Just something I always found funny. Seems a little bit unfair that God would expect everyone in the whole world to be reached with the Watchtower's messageor be destroyed but he chose such a small group.

i am looking for rebuttals on this statement.

i find it reprehensive when they preach this from the platform, they do not want jws (who are individuals) to have any individuality.

they want people to be their personal robots with no free will.

Tell them that in order to be acceptable in God's eyes we must train and follow our conscience as well as our power of reason. So thinking things through is part of spiritual maturity.

at the last elders school i heard from a few different attendees that the average age was easily 60+.

there will be a lot of elders gone within the next 10yrs.

there is nowhere near enough young brothers to replace these ageing elders.

In "our circuit" in Colorado this certainly holds true. Every elder in "our hall" is very late 50s or early 60s. The ministerial servants dont hils any promise except one....but he will probably become a young CO or something.
