i'm getting updates almost daily.

i'll try and post them here.. heres todays:i had a chance to visit our burned out kh and it is a mess.

I have a cousin that goes to that hall. I'm getting updates almost daily. I'll try and post them here.

Heres todays: I had a chance to visit our burned out KH and it is a mess. Whoever did it torched the front door area and the doors were completely distroyed. The whole front entrance area was burnt along with the library and all the books. The fire distroyed 1/4 of the roof on one side of the building. Since we had 4 roof top A/C units on the roof it look like three can be reused. The brothers were able to salvage some of the chairs and the files that were in an area opposite the fire. There was heavy smoke damage but they were able to recover all important papers. The RBC was at the KH the next day and recommended to completely remove the whole building and start new. The adjoining congregations opened there doors so we have places to meet. Since 4 congregations were meeting in the hall, we were the largest congregation so we will completely move our meetings to a different KH temporarily. The other congregations will be absorbed into other congregations for the time being. The RBC expects to have the new building done and complete in 2 months. It's a good goal, so we will see if that happens. Due to delivery of some items, I expect the building to be completed between 2-3 months. Once they clear the building it is possible that we will need to install a new concrete slab. The existing slab has a large crack down the middle so I have been told but that was repaired years ago. We will need new concrete slab for the addition we had proposed to add on but the RBC was having us wait because there are too many KH's that are need in the Phoenix area. Besides BS, the growth in Phoenix is 3500 a month moving in. We are now the 5 largest city in the United States. We exceeded San Diago 2 years ago. So now we are top priority on the RBC's list, all work including the proposed addition will we done at the same time. The Society had us open a seperate bank account and money will be transfered into that account.

5. Of the remaining 33%, 32% of all deaths occur in Hospitals. Above all
else, avoid hospitals.

You will be pleased to learn that only .001% of all deaths occur in worship
services, and these are usually related to previous physical disorders.
Therefore, logic tells us that the safest place for you to be at any given
point in time is at the Kingdom Hall.

Bible study is safe too. The percentage of deaths during Bible study is even
less.

LAS VEGAS - Four women sued the Jehovah's Witnesses claiming they were molested by a church leader in Nevada over several years beginning in the early 1970s and that church officials covered up the abuse.

Dawn Bradley, Amanda Cirone, Annette Reed and Donna Wilkes claim in the lawsuit filed Thursday in Las Vegas that they were abused by Daniel Steven Fitzwater, a former Jehovah's Witnesses congregation leader, from 1974 until the 1990s.

In seeking at least $30,000 from various Jehovah's Witnesses entities, the women now in their 20s and 30s allege church officials knew of the abuse but took no action.

"Outcries were made and they were not reported, and because they were not reported to law enforcement other children were molested afterward," said the women's lawyer, Kim Norris.

Fitzwater was arrested in 1997 and charged with lewdness with children in an unrelated case. He was convicted of two counts of sexual lewdness in 1998 and is eligible for parole in 2005. Fitzwater couldn't be reached for comment and it wasn't immediately clear if he had an attorney.

Church spokesman J.R. Brown said he couldn't comment specifically on the lawsuit. However, he said the church deals appropriately with reports of abuse.

"Our church policy protects children, not molesters," Brown said. "Molesters are punished, generally the most severe way, which is disfellowship or public reproof."

The plaintiffs came forward after encouragement from Silentlambs, a nonprofit organization founded by William Bowen, a former Jehovah's Witness who collects complaints about the church on an Internet site.

The church puts its membership at 6 million worldwide, including 1 million U.S. residents.

Is There An Electrician In The House?

they say that this may mean that the electrical earthing system to our home will become non-functional, so, don't blame us if you get a belt mr englishman, you have been warned, and it's your problem to fix it!

It may or may not be problematic. If your copper water pipe runs in direct contact with earth for 10 or more feet out to the meter where the pipe turns to plastic, then there is no problem.

On the other hand if the meter is in the basement or close to the structure where there is less than 10 feet of pipe in direct contact with earth, it could be a problem. It would depend if that were the only electrode serving the structure. For example if the structure were constructed of a metal frame effectively grounded and/or used a concrete-encased electrode there would be no problem since the metal frame and/or concrete-encased electrode would serve as a ground electrode in place of the water pipe.

If the pipe were the only ground electrode for the structure you would have a problem. In that case you should add one or more electrodes as defined by the U.S. NEC 250-52 (A) (4) through (A) (7). Let me know if you need help with that part.

In any case you are still required to bond the water pipe. Even if it is not being used as an electrode.

Organ Donation

any xdubs out there who are organ donors?

I gave a kidney to my sister about 2 and 1/2 years ago. My sister is still an active witness as are the rest of my family. I was able to change my sisters life. She now is able to do things that she could'nt have done without it. My whole family and a lot of witnesses comment on the fact that I did it unselfishly. I do wonder sometimes if my children would need such a gift as a kidney and that I might not beable to help them. I will go to my grave someday tho, and know that what I did was easy.The only thing I regret, is that I could have gotton big bucks for it on the black market.

im going to miami tomorrow and will be there for five days.

im going to the bears-dolphins game monday night and will be staying across the street from the stadium.

i was wondering if, the area is ok to go out and venture in?

I was wondering if, the area is ok to go out and venture in? Im going with 19 other guys and we will be looking for a bar thats good and close. Any suggestions? Im going to Key West Tuesday, any good suggestions there?
