  I need help when answering proof of WT being only religion

  ok so i have already been talked to about this and i always have difficulty finding a retort.

  my friend/elder condtantly tells me to visit bethel to prove its gods org--efficient, obedient, loving place, yadda yadda.

  and he also uses how many go out and preach the same message, how no matter where you go youll get the same loving treatment, follow the bible as best they can (ha), show lots of love, do t celebrate pagan holidays, etc etc.

  Whether the Watchtower organization is efficient is debatable. I imagine they are efficient at pushing a button on a printing press, packing boxes and doing housekeeping on their facilities. This is evidence that they are God's organization??

  Consider then how efficient they are in reaching people with an urgent life saving message! Their method is to send people to walk around ringing bells on doors that rarely open. How efficient is this? Compare this with how efficient other organizations are : Fedex, Apple, Nasa, etc etc which have to implement incredibly intricate methods to streamline R & D, production, deployment, support in a scale which is much larger. Surely these are true marvels of efficiency when compared to " Press button to print pamphlet, then pack boxes..." operations at the Watchtower organization.

  If a mayor of a city needed to warn the citizens that the water supply was poisoned, do you think he could find a more efficient method to inform people other than ringing door bells??? If relying on people to calmly stroll around ringing door bells, is the best that the Creator of the entire universe can do, they we are in trouble...

  Jehovah has always used some form of organization and mediatorship to fulfill His purposes upon the Earth as it relates to spiritual direction

  130 years of organization out of 2000 years of christianity is hardly "always". f

  the cordinating elder and his wife just showed up wanting to give me a bible study.

  i sent a request for a study back in january when it was apparent tha t hubby was going back.

  i sent this request before i learned ttatt.

  among the inane fb comments i've come across about the agm, this one stood out as more inane than the most enthusiastic jw slobbering:.

  "before we start taking about what happened at the agm we must be absolutely certain that all the meetings are over.

  make sure that we are obedient in the small things ago that we will be obedient in the big things.

  I just don't understand how you can be so negative against the organisation and feel you are close to Jehovah..

  This is the biggest hurdle in trying to make any JW see the truth! - the inability to understand that the Watchtower society and Jehovah are naturally two different things

  checking out the apple store for any new cool apps, and lo and behold!

  i see that the wts has finally embraced that demonic form of information dispensing.

  and all jah's chil'ren are snapping it up.

  Just downloaded to take a look. It is actually very practical and easy to use. I can see JWs using it to look up bible verses on their mobile devices, because the navigation is very easy and fast.

  Visually, it's not appealing at all. In fact pretty bland and ugly looking - but clean and sharp.

  It is interesting that the reviews make it seem as if the the wheel as been re-invented. Meanwhile it is just an average app by any standards, in an age where much smaller organizations have better developed apps with incredible useful features. It seems Jehovah let the organization fall behind. :)

  Interestingly as i was searching for this app, i saw a few other apps that a Jehovah Witness is selling at around $2 in order to take notes at the different conventions.

  Has not 2,000 yrs been enough time to figure it out?

  Evidently not. I was having a discussion with a very conservative christian person the other day and this person was telling me that not only is there a God, but that God plans exactly how many days and years someone lives, and that when you die, it's part of God's plan. God plans every person's life span, after all... it's God's plan.

  I then asked why there are 40 millions abortions a year in the world and why God plans that? As he looked at me with a glassy glaze in his eyes, i also asked him why he is anti-abortion, being that logically abortions serve God's purpose. You could literally see the the gears turning in his head ( although slowly)...

  Incredibly, not only is he invisible, but also mute, deaf and paralyzed. But let me guess, you also think that anything that happens - or not, is part of God plan, right?. That's how you excuse the fact that God, continues to do absolutely nothing to resolve mankind's problems.

  Does he listen to prayers? How about you get 1000 cancer patients together and do a group prayer asking God to cure all cancer. Will cancer disappear? No.. why? What possible reason is there for God not doing it? Let me guess...it's God's plan.

  How about hunger? If 1000 african starving children pray asking for food, will God send food from heaven? No... Why? ohh right... God's plan

  I too, like the idea that there is a man in the sky who can do anything, but it's hard to ignore the fact he does nothing. I want there to be a God - the idea makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

  It's nice to think that even if you have a shitty life on this planet, this parental figure with a white beard will give you a second chance, but when you evaluate the big picture, it's hard to substantiate that.

  Just like in the Watchtower's case, God's worse enemy is not Satan, it is time. Even us dumb humans will get to a point (maybe a few thousand years from now), when this inability to deliver on promises, will no longer be excusable and the belief in God will be looked at in the same manner we view the belief in the Sun by some ancient civilizations.
