You Know, and then the end will come

matthew 24:14. jesus says, this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth, for a witness, and then the end will come.. this work only done by jehovah's witnesses for about 125 years approximately.

they have 6 million preachers concentrated in mostly 20 countries.. lets say they have preached it in all of north america, which is still debatable since there are still a large segment of people who have no really clear idea of what witnesses believe "the good news" is.. even so, just in china and india there are 2 billion human beings who have probably never been preached to even once.

add bangladesh, iran, iraq, saudi arabia, etc and you have at least another billion with the population in these hard to reach countries continuously growing.. how can the end come before jesus's prophecy comes true.

Hey JB,
I remember one of the last meeting that I went to the C.O. was talking exactly about that issue. His (WT) explanation was the following:

"WE DO NOT NEED TO TALK TO EVERYONE OR EVERY PERSON for Jesus's words to be fulfilled".
He said that people see the JW's walking in the street and that in itself is a witness to them because they already know who they are.

He said that it's like the walls of Jericho. Now the Jws are on their seventh figurative turn around the city (preaching) and that everyone, person by person, in the city of Jericho was not warned before the walls came down.

Today it will be the same. Thats why the Jw's will have to be on their best behavior so that just by their acts they can save others without one word.

Damn! Their reasoning scares me! Wooo! I'm amazed that I can still remember details like that....I think I can still convince people thats the truth! LOL!

as of 11:45 this morning (i had a telphone call this morning with the refernce department person named holly at 212-963-7234), i can tell you that the watchtower has disassociated itself from the united nations dpi!!!!!!.

the dpi is now taking them off the list.

the dpi requested the list removal to be done this morning!!!!!.

Problem is Jbean, that a "copy" could be considered "apostate concoted".

If you were to show a print out to a JW, they would not exactly "see the light".

I remember when I showed the American Journal of Medical Ethics (the actual magazine where it mentioned the Bulgarian Blood issue)June '98 I believe , to an elder, his exact words were:

"Where did you get that Apostate magazine from? Don't you know that those articles that are written to undermine Gods laws, are all written by apostates no Matter if they are now Drs. or lawyers or no matter how many Phd's they have"?

No matter how safe you hide that copy of the NGO/DPI and the WTBTS I seriuosly doubt that most Jws will believe it.

Bin Laden Innocent?

there have been several threads recently where individuals have spoken out against the united states for their actions against afghanistan.

there are some people on this forum who continue to express the belief that bin laden has not had a fair trial up to this point, and these same people have insinuated that perhaps the u.s. doesnt have enough proof against him and his network to take forceful military action.

And since you will never ever know the real truth about everything thats going on...don't worry about it.

Of course if your packing an M-16,a4,249b,240b or 60 and happened do be dressed in your desert BDU's and about to be dropped at about 3500ft into a baron country...then I take that back.

Then again they still won't ell you anything. In Desert Storm I had no real proof of any allegations. Everything I know was subsequent to the operation.

Thanks Kent..but don't you think that since the WT will not be listed with the official UN page any longer, that people will think that its just "another apostate" lie?

I'm going to to copy the info. from your page for my in-laws to see but I don't know if they'll buy it.

Does this mean that "something" will happen to the WT for registering then getting pulled off or asking to be taken off the DPI list?

Does it really affect them in any way?

by that i mean it's possible aliens could have visited and influenced the earth.. one of the best quotes i heard by someone who had an alien en-counter was that the aliens told them "that they didn't want to show themselves to the world because they didn't want to affect or influence our religions".

what do you think?

that sounds a bit like a prime directive to me, and could be a good reason why the aliens are simply spying on us.

Well not that I exactly believe in aliens , but does anyone any comments on the huge head statues on Easter Is. or the huge spider carved out on the side of a mountain in Peru and all those several thousand year old stuctures around the world that scientist have no clue who or how or why they are?

Yeah your supposed to throw it away (lottery ticket) unless you plan to give the winnings to the WTBTS.

Then they'll make the exception. Go into WT observer and go into the money section and see if you can get a hold of the "Planned Giving" brochure or at least quotes from it. It will make for some interesting reading.

Is the UN 'scandal' the big one ?

looking at the stats, there are well over 14,000 views of the thread about the un.

the next 'most read' thread is around 9,500 so it is clearly a burning issue.. i wonder if the involvement with the un is the biggest threat to the wts?.

they are getting badly burnt because of their covering up child abuse and www.silentlambs.org is doing a great job of raising the profile of this but even so, i can see the 'mental defense mechanism' of many jws excusing this as 'individuals imperfection'.. they cannot excuse the gb getting in bed with the un.

I personally believe that if the R&F were to find out about this that the WT will use their "logic" to downplay its real meaning.

For example: I remember when I was interrogated by my then C.O. about certain quetions that I was having, he said "Do you think that Jehovah's org. is a stupid one? It's like years ago in Mexico..we weren't called Jw's we were known as a cultural movement. Is that being dishonest? Maybe some may think so but the Bible shows us to be astute. By not calling ourselves Jw's we were able to keep preaching the good news of the Kingdom and save countless lives (he was Mexican). Now we could have called ourselves Jw's but that would have hindered our work and we would have been banned from preaching. So as you can see we must make use of the rules and regulations that are put out by the gov'ts. We have to use their own rules to expand Christ's teachings."

Then he went on and quoted some Proverb about how the astute one will have favor and the stupid one wont or something like that.

Anyway with that kind of lip service the WT will be able to convince most people. They'll say that registering with the UN has opened many doors for them as far as preaching is concerned and that we must make use of the tools given to us by the Gov'ts.
And of course you guys know that that will be enough for about 85% of the Jw's. They'll probably shell out a few article of how being astute in these critically doomed days are the only way for them to save lives.

Oh well.
