  Two Elders who visited me to find out why I no longer attended, about 6 months after I left, tried the old loyalty question on me, posing it in different words two or three times.

  I neatly sidestepped the question twice, the third time i just went silent, eventually one of them broke the silence, and off the conversation went with me again giving no answer.

  It was SO tempting to say to this arrogant pair , " You PROVE to me it IS god's Organisation", knowing I could smash any proof they liked to offer, but that would have exposed me to a charge of Apostasy I feared, and at the time I simply wished to fade, not be DF'd or anything, because I hoped to convince my JW family it was all Hogwash. Now that I know my JW family will never leave, I don't give a shit.

  just a reminder about spammers.. please ignore them!.

  they are idiots, we have a real "gay-for-j" zealot right now who hasn't got the message that they are not wanted and no one is interested in their bible-fantasy gibberish.

  there's a certain irony that their own site is covered in "don't spam" rules but they think it's acceptable to do it to others.

  Thanks Simon, such people are a right pain in the arse, but it is common on all sorts of Social Media places, it must be a new form Mental Deficiency, probably exacerbated by too much time to waste in Lock Down.

  On Facebook you get Trolling Spammers from the Left Wing on Right Wing places , and vice versa. Why ? what do they seek to achieve ??

  The disruption they cause often does distract from what should be the primary aim of certain sites and Pages, which I guess is their pathetic aim, but they achieve little in real terms, apart from maybe getting a World Record in being blocked and banned perhaps !

  Will You Get Back To Normal After Covid Subsides?

  some say we will never get back to pre-pandemic days.

  others say we should expect to live with masks and social distancing as the “new normal “.

  still others are hopeful that we can live life realizing there might never be an end to covid or cancer or influenza but our lives must continue to go on.

  I hope we do not go back to what society was before. I hope we have learned that there are new ways of working, better for the Planet, and that the workers we should most value are those who bravely kept Society going DURING the Pandemic.

  The frontline Workers of many kinds, health Service, care workers, staff in Supermarkets, Refuse collectors etc etc.

  We could do without Billionaires , but not vital workers.

  As to the lifting of restrictions, yes some may safely be lifted in the U.K, as our numbers are low, but we must beware, until the WOLE WORLD is vaccinated we cannot relax our guard. New strains will be flowing in at a high rate from various parts of the Globe, we need to protect ourselves from these, a vaccination is not a total protection from ANY strain, and may be a poor protection against one or more of the new ones that are spreading right now.

  If we are silly, and act as if it is all over, abandoning masks and distancing etc etc we will be back to thousands of new cases and rising in no time.

  It is now accepted by a consensus of Scholars that the verses in Chapter 14 of 1st Corinthians, saying that women should not speak in Church, are a later Interpolation.

  Why then would it be impossible that Chapter 15 was added later , and not penned by Paul, or rather dictated by Paul ? It is more than likely he did have something to say on the Resurrection, but we cannot be sure that what we have in the earliest MS we have, which are 4th Century, is exactly what Paul dictated.

  To be categorical that what is in 1st Corinthians 15 was written at Paul's behest is to make an assertion for which there is no proof.

  Which is the problem that Bible believers have, we only have Copies of many many previous copies, we know that Interpolations, Editing, Redacting etc occurred before those Copies were made.

  An amusing thing to do, if you have the time, but it will have ZERO effect on JayDubs.

  To get through to JW's you need a lot of inside knowledge, and to be quite crafty, or they simply chuck away your Letter.

  I hope she has fun doing it though!

  Were You Affected By Weird Elders?

  we all had some to deal with some.

  you would ask yourself, “how the hell did this guy ever get to be an elder”???.

  we had one elder originally from england that used to wear his pants belted up to his chest with typically a dirty spotted tie and shirt.

  Weird C.O's wives were the funniest, we had a few of those over the years, no doubt driven loopy by the life they had to lead, listening to their husband saying the same thing, telling the same C.O type jokes week after week, having nowhere to relax and always having to be polite to the " Sisters". I feel sorry for 'em !

  The weirdest Elder I remember was one who if you were a visiting Speaker at his K.H, he sat with the Talk Outline on his lap to make sure you stuck rigidly to it. Well, I never did, I used to swap around the order of stuff, and leave stuff out, add my own stuff etc etc.

  The strange thing is, unlike other Speakers I knew of, he said not a word to me after my " Talk". it may have been that he had known me since I was a boy, but I'm not sure, I never got invited back there though, so I guess he had words at an Elders' Meeting.

  He was very effeminate, I don't think his balls ever dropped, but he was that waspish, nasty type effeminate. Single of course, though in his late forties at the time. I think he was very angry at his physical condition. Pain in the arse weirdo that one.

  How strange that is ! When you think about it, these things are very powerful Evidence that their beliefs are WRONG !

  It was Threads like this that helped me to expunge any JW beliefs, thoughts or feelings. Why oh why will they not examine their beliefs in the light of very strong evidence and the opinions of experts ?

  Because their Minds are Controlled and Locked Shut by the Org. They are in a sad mental Prison, where Light does not penetrate.

  I guess I was a naughty boy, from the JW point of view, never following the idea that World Events meant the "End" was close. I worked out as an adult that there was no hurry for the "End" to come very soon after 1914, which at the time I still swallowed, never having scrutinised that total rubbish that ends up in 1914 by some incredible mental gymnastics and total misuse of Scripture.

  I remember in the early 90's a younger Bro saying to me " I reckon Armageddon will be here in the next three or four years", I said in reply " No, Satan has ways of dragging things out, you may be surprised how far away it is". Quite what my thinking was on " Satan's" actions I don't recall, but I without doubt didn't think things were moving swiftly toward Armageddon, whatever the World Events were !

  In fact, I hoped it would NOT come in my lifetime, because I felt that I was probably unworthy of surviving it, that I was a Sinner. Looking back, that was very silly, as that meant that very few JW's I knew would survive, many were far worse sinners than me !

  I really don't go out of my way to talk to them, why would I ? I have nothing in common with them anymore. If they made any effort, if I came across one somewhere, I would be polite, but keep it as short as possible, if they prefer to pretend they haven't seen me,, that suits me even better.

  It will interest me to see what happens in the future. I faded, so was not DF'd. I did not DA, but something changed a few months back, a relative phoned me about "family business" and took the opportunity to let me know that something I had written on Social Media, heck knows what, that meant he did not want me to ever be seen going to his house. Strange, I never went to his house anyway, nor did he ever come to mine, even in the decade before I left !

  What I write in various places on Social Media is always the Truth, so it just shows that in the famous words of The Movie, we should shout this at them " You can't handle the Truth!".

  
  

  My most outspoken Posts are against the Paedophilia Scandal that the JW Org has never dealt with.

  But I'm not just sure if this sort of " shunning" the relative spoke of just applies to him, or is it the JW's in general who knew me too ? I shall find out when , one day, I run in to one, if they really scuttle off, I shall know. If they talk, I shall ask, I cannot think though that an actual Announcement has been made about me, they would surely have to inform me ? But I reckon to all my JW family I am now Persona Non Grata, as the relative in question is kind of the Capo. Interesting.

  I have left all arrangements for this Atheist's Funeral ( if indeed there is one), and disposal of my body etc, to my Executors (my kids). I doubt there will be an Obituary.

  They know I abhor Religion, am an Atheist, as indeed are they, and know also I abhor wasting money, I hope they arrange to do whatever they want with the least fuss, expense and ceremony, and I hope they have a bloody good Wake in the Irish tradition of drinking, singing and drinking, and talking and drinking. Oh... and drinking.
