My personal thoughts on Ray Franz

the death of ray franz hit me harder than i would have thought.. i had to reflect for awhile....alone......and quietly.. .

after all, fine people die every day and some of them are indispensable, yet, we go on....don't we?.

but, ray franz was something that can only be described in the phrase sui generis (one of a kind).. my task was to ask myself what it was that made ray so singular, potent and admirable without a trace of scandal or ill will attached to his memory.. .

Ray was a lovely man, I only had indirect contact with him , toward the end of his days. I first contacted him by e-mail to thank him for his two Books, I begged him not to bother to reply, he was very unwell by then, but lovely man that he was, he did !

He e-mailed me yet again a couple of times, to help me with the Trauma I felt upon leaving the Cult, so helpful, so full of practical advice and information, what a guy !

It is so sad he is no longer with us, also sad that the G.B at the time he was ousted, did not have anyone else with a spine. or any love on it ! They acted totally hatefully toward a man who only wanted the org. to act with the Love of Jesus, and to move toward adhering to what the Bible actually says, and to STOP telling lies !

The Org could have been so very different.

R.I.P dear Ray, your work lives on and still helps so very many !

Will the ministry ever resume?

going on 2+ years of no public ministry.

can't imagine anyone is really enjoying letter writing still or that it's remotely effective.

i'm a little shocked that we haven't resumed yet but i guess that's what happens when the org is run by a bunch of old people (ie high risk for covid) and a bunch of other sheltered germaphobes.

Originally, if memory serves, H to H was instituted to give the impression there were more Witlesses than in fact there actually were, by Rutherford, who never went D to D himself !

From then on it was actually a fairly good way of recruiting, until the last 4 or 5 decades, when they kept it going to keep J.W's busy, on the Mouse Wheel. It meant, coupled with Meetings and preparing for them, that most never had time to stop and think about their beliefs.

Even if it tails off in many ways, the G.B will want to keep J.W's very busy busy busy, doing pointless stuff, for the same reason, keep 'em busy ! Keep 'em away from The Truth about the Troof.

George was just GREAT ! Especially for American audiences, and a good few Brits. He cut through all the hypocrisy and Bullshit, and opened a good few eyes no doubt !

Start of the Great Tribulation will be announced soon

at the 2021 annual meeting, samuel herd revealed new light and claimed the anointed will all have passed away before armageddon.

it has since been revealed that while they will die before armageddon, there will be some anointed still around that will witness the start of the great tribulation.. so the question is, how many years until the existing members of the governing body have passed away?.

im not a doctor, but based on their age and various stages of obesity, im thinking 10- 15 years- give or take, sounds about right.. with that in mind, the great tribulation could be announced any day.. the new understanding has now freed the org from the burden of having to identify a particular generation in relation to the date of armageddon.

Well "John" here is using the same expression that we find put in to the mouth of Jesus by the Synoptic Gospel Writers, in Matt. 24 and Mark 13. These being written earlier than Revelation, "John" would be familiar with them.

More interesting is to read the context of the Synoptic's words around this expression in the Olivet Discourse. Read as an unbiased Academic would, not a Believer. Take those "Believer's Specs" off !

It is plain to see if you read the "words of Jesus" here, that he is claiming that he would return in the lifetime of his listeners.

I wonder if they will perhaps stop the D to D forever please ? Oh what a Blessing that would be for the long suffering Public !

I doubt it, they will bring it back in some way, despite the vast majority of J.W's hating it ! most would rather hide behind a Cart, or better still, write Letters, which I find offensive in their first lie , " Dear Neighbour" , when it is from someone I have never met, who lives Miles away, and in asking me to go to their Culty Site !

rutherford & wtbts inc. as a front for worldwide christianity, is an affront to worldwide christians.. the adage, “extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence” was made for such spurious assertions.. as with jw's who claim, "jehovah answered my prayer for......," both claims rely on total credulity, and zero evidence of divine intervention.

I would like to see J.W Apologists come here and try to defend it, perhaps we could reason with them ?

Or would they merely say what an Elder said to me when I presented the stuff to him in my comment above, and other actual Facts, " Well I think there is enough to satisfy me they were chosen" , I gave up with him then, but Really ? What ?

I know some say "What they have done in recent years shows the G.B have Jehovah's approval" , again, Really ? What ?

And even if that were vaguely true, that DOES NOT prove the 1919 "Choosing" , so the J.W's are mistaken about that, the G.B in particular.
