How Will the Society React to the Hundred Year Anniversary of 1914?
by slimboyfat init's only a couple of years away now and what a headache it must present to the gb - providing they have given it much thought already.
there probably is no elegant way of presenting the hundred year long failure of the end to come; the fact that the "short period of time" of satan being cast down to the earth has now stretched beyond any credibility.
but they have to deal with it one way or another.

It'll be no.3 .. it'll be impossible for them to ignore and they will realise that just as after 1975 many could fall away so there'll be a big push to make everyone feel disloyal by even thinking such a thing. They'll make a big thing about Satan drawing many away who lack faith and put a big guilt trip on everyone. There'll be emotional manipulation and a big stick hitting us to make sure we keep busy busy busy in this time of the end.

can of worms -ranting
by so confused inthe more i'm reading and thinking about what i have previously learned it just opens a whold new can of worms.. my husband and i have been reading/comparing the nwt, diaglot, reference bible, etc.
and i saw where the society added words, changed meaning, even added an entire sentence without ().
i have seen where they have emphasized sayings in the watchtower that are not in the bible like "paradise earth".

Hi So confused. I'm still an active JW (born in) but seen so many falsehoods over the years. It all came to head for me a few months ago. I read Ray Franz's two books and everything fell into place. It was very difficult to take in but I'm taking things slowly. Don't feel you have to rush it. Learn all you can. As for your sister, you could add her to FB if you make friend lists and keep her separate and make your friend list invisible. Only mutual friends will see each other. Or you could just send her a message. I'm sure you could find a way. Cutting off family members from each other is one of the cruelest things done IMO. Keeping the congregation clean is one thing, tearing families apart is another.
