They STILL might be DFing me soon for apostasy...
by RayPublisher inbig news - i met with the elders last night.
they were not arrogant and they were not mean spirited, but of course we all know they also would not budge from the jw brainwashed beliefs they are sworn to uphold.
i let my light shine, and within two minutes of sitting down with them was no longer nervous.. .

IF cornered, what 2 or 3 examples of error in JW teaching would you point out?
by undercover injust curious about this.
if - if you were cornered by elders or family or even an outsider who was curious, what two or three things would you use to point out why you no longer accept "the truthtm"?
(an exercise, not a factual situation).

1) Truth NEVER changes.
2) The Great Crowd only exists in heaven... Rev 7:9 says the GC were standing before the throne (in JW land this is the earth), however verse 11 tells us that the angels, elders and 4 living creatures fell on their faces before the throne.. so either they are all on earth with the GC or the GC are with them in heaven. Rev 19:1 tells us the GC are in heaven. This means all christians go to heaven and Jesus Christ is mediator for all and not a select few.
3) Jesus couldn't have begun ruling in 1914 because he said the 'generation' would not pass away. An overlapping generation makes no sense whatsoever, it's just stretching things to fit.

I've recently been listening to some podcasts of this brother who had been fading for a while. His brother (an elder) and another elder asked to visit him on a 'shepherding' visit. He allowed them and they asked him lots of questions about his beliefs. He innocently answered them thinking as it was an informal visit, he'd had no association with anyone for a while, hadn't spoken to anyone else about his views and they were his own private thoughts, that it would be confidential. Next thing he knew he'd been dragged in front of a judicial committee... guess who the '2 witnesses' were? He got spiritually stoned. It's all here....

DD.. Couldn't you just say that you've given it some thought and that you really don't have anything to add to what you've already said and feel it would be a waste of everyone's time? Believe me if other elders are anything like my husband they'll be happy that they've done their 'bit' and shown willing but will be grateful for the evening off. I know he's more than happy if someone rings up and cancels. I really think that if you try and say what you feel, they'll have you pinned against the wall with no wriggling room to get out. If you want to avoid future judicials it's really best to keep quiet. EE's got it down to a fine art I reckon, take his advice! LOL
