VOICE
by compound complex inhis voice is liquid, drowning me then rescuing me from the sheer weight of a burdensome life that can no longer be borne.. somehow, a singularly caressing envelope of grace shields me from total obliteration, his ethereal utterance an unknown but strangely welcome entity.. what power lures me outside myself into a realm within my reality but, nonetheless, beyond it?
it is sonority that at once crushes me yet, alternately, cradles me tenderly inside delicate tracery of angel song.. i beg - oh, how i beg - to be released from this aural tidal wave of unquantifiable beauty.. his music is that of other worlds; it holds me in its protective but unrelinquishing embrace.
i equivocate, but it is demurral of little account for i cave and become captive .

FINALLY! Can you prove God exists? If you can I won't ask again!
by punkofnice ini have seen debates and shizzle about god or not god etc etc.. i was even confronted by an aggressive and trheatening muslim in the street, who was angry that i wanted proof that god existed.
he ranted on a load of old b0110cks about 'hell' and stuff.
finally he yelled at me: 'do you want god to write your name in the sky?

I don't think anyone can PROVE God exists but then I don't think anyone can prove he doesn't either.

new thinking after reading Collosians
by Honeybucket ini read the book of collosians and now im really not sure whether the trinity concept is completely false.
maybe i need to read non-jw bible to make my decision.
even the nwt seemed to support the jesus was a manifestation of god to help mankind.

I don't think that in believing Jesus should be worshipped or prayed to, or that he's not Michael the archangel and that he was begotten and not created means that you believe in the Trinity. I believe in Christ's deity but not that he's part of a triune God. I think a number of christians believe the same way.

Believers and dinosaurs
by Christ Alone ini was curious to hear what other believers understand about dinosaurs.
i know we have a few young earth creationists here.
i wondered what you understand about dinosaurs and when they existed, as well as hear from those that believe dinosaurs lived millions of years ago and how it fits into the bible..

Terry.. if that's what a lot of 'creationists' believe then it's no wonder they are laughed at!

Why do people proudly say they belong to Jesus ?
by mP ini know what the statement means im just baffled why anyone would select words like "belong" or a that they are a "servant" of jesus ?.
i mean ive never heard anybody say they belong to their parents or their spouse, so why are they property of jesus as in servitude ?
why would anyon e then go about making boastful pronoucnements about how great jesus is after he requires total servitude ?

I believe in the bible but not in the interpretations of it. Dinosaurs are a fact that can't be disputed. The bible speaks of creative days which I believe are periods of time that are neither literal nor even estimable. The earth according to science has been around for billions of years, which I believe. The bibles account of creation is very simple and some things don't even add up. Ie. how could plants be created before sunlight or insects? It's obvious that the account of creation is not to be taken literally but merely to give us an 'idea' of how it came about.

From the way I've read the NT without JW blinkers is that Jesus is begotten and not created. He is not an angel. He is to be worshipped as his Father is. He is equal to his Father, sitting at his right hand, everything has been given to him. He is to be prayed to in the same way his Father is. He is the mediator of all, not just a select number.
