i can actually remember at least a couple of instances where someone revealed they were gay on the doorstep to my partner and i and this didn't get rid of us immediately, but it did force us onto the back foot.

Because I don't want elders knocking on my door asking me why I didn't. I will fade in my own way, at my own pace and I don't need to answer to anyone else the way in which I will do it.

Sorry Phizzy, but I don't like questions like that from anyone. It sounds no different to me than for an elder asking me why I didn't go.

Elder... "Give me good honest reasons why you didn't attend the memorial this year"

Me... "Mind your own business"

My Mother Passed

thank you for all of your support durning the two difficult weeks my mother was on her death bed.

last night at 10:30pm she breath her last with my sister and i by her side.

this is a real end of an era for me as i have known little these past 8 years other than taking care of my parents.

We had the service overseer come round with pile of application forms in his hand. Asked me if I wanted one... I just looked at them, bristled and said 'no thanks, if I want one I'll come to you....' he went away rather sheepishly to find his next victim.

Matthew and John were written by his apostles, who were with Jesus and so would know what happened and when because they were there. Luke wasn't, he was only writing from heresay from what the apostles told him happened.
