  My Final Goodbye

  i want to start by saying i will not participate in discussion here about my resignation as a moderator at jwn.. simon please consider this as my resignation from that position.. i have been posting on this board for almost 12 years.

  i know some of you a lot, others a little and some not very well at all.

  i have remained here for those of you who have needed support as you make the transition out of the wts, who needed someone to listen to your experiences of abuse at the hands of jehovah's witnesses, and to both laugh and cry with you as you progress out of the watchtower society.. we know that we have all experienced the cruelty of abuse of one kind or another.

  Awesome DR! I've actually used that Luke 21:8 on my hubby.. I got the 'silence'.... JWs don't take that one in and if they do, they don't apply it to themselves. When they give it some thought then the cognitive dissonance sets in.

  the watchtower perposely keeps its leaders "cordoned off" for a reason.

  the ones really in charge want to be invisible and have been in control since knorr's day, and still think like him.

  the gb want like hell to be visible and powerful.

  I think the power behind the scenes lies with the men in control of the finances and the legal stuff. I think the GB are just as indoctrinated as the rest of the R&F. The blind leading the blind. I think Randy's probably right.

  It's the same as governments having no real power, even though they think they do. The men with the money always have the power to control.

  WT Society Changes Definitions of Words to Control JW's for Their Agenda

  my wife and i were discussing this and thought of a few examples of words that the wt society changes meanings on in order to accomplish their own self serving agenda .

  the term - generation - definition in webster's new world dictionary : " generation - a single stage or degree in the succession of natural descent ( father, son, and grandson are three generations ) .

  the average period ( about thirty years ) between the birth of one generation and that of the next .

  I've got one voice telling me to stay in this organisation despite what I know and what I feel so that I don't lose my family.... the other voice is telling me to leave. I don't know which voice to listen to....

  i believe that this site, jwn, serves many purposes.

  .

  some are here almost, out of need.. others are here because they want to know the latest in watchtower world.. still others come here for the entertainment.. why do you frequent this place?

  I can find out things way before my elder hubby does.. LOL

  I can have a vent when I've had enough

  I can learn things I'd not thought of before

  I can sit in the 'peanut gallery' and watch people get verbally mad at each other (fun..... sometimes)
