I really like reading the NIV. I'm thinking of getting the Holman Study bible soon. At the moment I like using an online bible study aid that has lots of different versions and commentaries and lots more. I have YouVersion bible app on my phone, has several different translations.

Last night I had this dream ...
by 00DAD inlast night i had this dream: i was walking through a beautiful garden.
i came upon a statuary image of christ.
it was in a shaded alcove surrounded by a beautiful trellis entwined with wild vines of flowering bougainvillea.

Maybe Christ is telling you he doesn't want you to leave him... after all he hates religion, he told his followers he would give them freedom. Christ will come and speak to our hearts or maybe even in dreams in some way. You were obviously very moved and shaken by your dream. Keep searching my friend....

They STILL might be DFing me soon for apostasy...
by RayPublisher inbig news - i met with the elders last night.
they were not arrogant and they were not mean spirited, but of course we all know they also would not budge from the jw brainwashed beliefs they are sworn to uphold.
i let my light shine, and within two minutes of sitting down with them was no longer nervous.. .

Try prayer, truly from your heart, no holds barred. Pour it all out to him, everything, totally honestly. (Just as Manasseh did). See what happens.

Bye from me Killa.. and please think hard about getting some more professional help. Also think about what happened to Manasseh 2 Chron 33
No one could be as evil as he was but God forgave him and he turned his life around. No one is beyond redemption. Get the help you need and you could get your life back. What you're living now is not a life...
Please think about it.

Killa, I'm just interested to ask.. in your need to hurt others, emotionally if not physically, does it give you some kind of release from your pain? Like, if you start to confront your own pain something builds up inside you that you can't deal with and hurting someone else stops you hurting from your own pain? Also, by living as a 'good' JW and doing good to others inside and making them believe you are good, somehow gives you this 'safe and cosy' place to be where you won't be harmed? I'm just guessing here. Also, would you like to have a normal life like everyone else? To love and be loved, to be able to stop hurting others and not to have to pretend all the time. Or do you enjoy living like this? I'm sorry asking all these questions but it intrigues me.

From his story it doesn't seem to me that he's a 'psycopath', just someone who has been totally screwed up in his childhood and can't face it. So is living two different lives so he can cope with it. One life as a JW where he is doing everything he should and making everyone believe he is 'perfect' and the other life where he is inflicting as much emotional pain on others (I presume 'gays') as he can in revenge for what he suffered as a child. It's his way of dealing with it. The only way he can really recover in any way is by getting (and wanting) real professional help.

Interesting story. Don't think I've ever heard anything like it. It seems to me that what you went through as a child has had the effect of cutting off your emotions and ability to feel love. Also your need to want to hurt others in some way as some kind of revenge but doing it in such as way as to not affect your 'safe', 'comfortable' world you've created. Trouble is, it's not a real world. You're living in a fantasy of your own making. You can talk about what happened to you, 'fake it' and let others believe you're ok, believe you're normal but you can't face head on what happened to you and tackle it. Only a professional can help you to do that. But if you don't want it, it won't work. Do you really want to live the rest of your life...or should I say lives, the one you hide and the one that others see... with all this 'baggage' boxed away inside you and feeling empty and devoid of emotion, or do you want to be able to feel love again? To me it seems a life without love of any kind is totally meaningless. Maybe you are happier without it?
