I think it is deliberate. I think they see the writing on the wall. They know the internet will kill em. The only way to survive is keep the die hards that will believe anything. When they here things like the overlapping generation or watch this embarrasing dvd the witless I think has to make a mental step to accept it. I think they know they will shrink in numbers no matter what. The more cultish controlloing behavior will only get worse.

reading through the posts here i realise that these people shun those those who have left the organisation, that is very sad.

I agree the WTS will be around awhile. But I do wonder about the psychological effects of 2014 coming and going. I just turned 40 and I remember well the WTS stressing 1914 in the literature and most witnesses young and old didnt seem to notice the 1995 change. Has anyone else noticed that alot of witnesses still believe that the 1914 generation will not pass away before the end? There have been so many changes but the average witless doesnt seem to notice.

Still confused after all these years,,,

work hours and little family time don't allow me enough time to do it.
as i've stated on some of my previous posts, also under the user name sahara, i still get confused after all of these years being married to a jw.

Marriedtoajw you were right to stand up and not allow them to indoctorinate your children. I know jws put on a happy face but this cult is very destructive. Things like divorce, alcoholism, depression, low self esteem, are common in this religion. I was born in and when I left I lost all friends and most family. Your wifes family are decieved and will turn on anyone. Its just the normal way of life for jws. All love is conditional with these people. Sad situation. Stay strong and I am sorry you are having to go through this.

As a born in Ive seen plenty of elderettes. But in the last congregation I was in these women didnt have much choice. There were 4 elders and they were the most spineless wimps Ive ever known. There wives had to organize everything. If you lined the elders up you could'nt find a pair of testicles between all of them.
