Dont Give Them More Power Than They Deserve
by Tech49 ina new montra that was recently adopted by the wife and i is this:.
dont give them more power than they deserve.. here's why i say that, and i point this to those of you still in the congregation, still trying to decide what you want to do.. recently, our family had a little family reunion gathering of sorts, and we were in the company of some extended family that were either df or da, to varying degrees.
we made it very clear, to any and all in attendance, that we wanted to be respectful and kind, despite any previous perceptions about our "status".... and that our feelings on a lot of things had "softened", and "changed" over the last 2 years.. i am being purposefully slightly vague, but i think you get the point.

He contradicted himself! !!! He said the bible doesn't say that the 2nd group of anointed bros don't have to be of old age for the "generation that will not pass away" for the conclusion of these system of things that "concerning that day & hour no one knows"!!!! EXACTLYYYY So why are you still saying it applies to " this" 21 century generation????? .... stop selling this NO ONE BUYS IT BECAUSE IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE & "EVIDENTLY" Jesús wasn't referring to an overlapping generation!!!!
I am happy though, the org keep rehashing this proves many JWs are not buying this!!!

Sheep and the Goats - The Light Gets Brighter
by nmthinker inperhaps some of you remember a new understanding of the sheep and the goats in the epic march 2015 wt study edition - specifically the article "loyally supporting christ's brothers".. while this article was studied many months ago, it was instrumental in helping me wake up.
during my study of the 2015 article i recalled that we had just revised our understanding of the sheep and the goats a few years ago and this caused me to research the real progression of the jw understanding of this parable.
i put the results of my research in an excel spreadsheet.. .

What I have consistently noticed from the organization since the constant flip flop changes they do that for the "average" JWs we never seemed to even noticed all these, different subjects being "taught" at meetings making it very difficult to keep track off or even dedicate the time to realize previous understandings now being changed... i was guilty of it for years, this is why I think many JWs don't even notice & it doesnt faze them to question it... I was a Watchtower zombie until recently, this article when studied in 2013 always stuck with me til this day, for some reason I kept the WT. I am disgusted with this organization's arrogance & self glory demanding servitude in the name of God & Christ.... i haven't done an in depth study of the "man of lawlessness" & how it will be exposed... until the WT zombies wake up they will continue to allow the WT make them feel guilty & use them as sales slaves.....
Who is a sheep or Goat??? We are not in a position to decide neither is the WT

Hey, this is me... I'm the guy on the left! =)
by Divergent in(picture taken from the wt study some weeks back).
all these years, i've always dreaded waking up early for field service.
i'm a night owl & love to sleep late, so it was excruciating for me to have to wake up early in the mornings & go door knocking.

Should Jehovah`s Witnesses be worshiping Jehovah ? or Jesus.
by smiddy injehovah`s christian witnesses , as they like to be known as , used to worship jesus in earlier times ,but now they do not worship jesus .
they worship a god named jehovah , who they admitted in the first edition of " aid to bible understanding " was not the correct pronunciation of the tetragrammaton `s four letter hebrew letters that represented god` name , by the way , a catholic monk of the 13th century came up with jehovah by just adding a couple of vowels.. to those four hebrew letters .which has since been revised to correctly translate the tetragrammaton as yhwh and many scholars put this name more accurately as yahweh or something more similar.. fact 1 .
the tetragrammaton does not appear in the " kingdom interlinear of christian greek scriptures " printed by the wtb&ts , a word for word translation of the greek scriptures.

How interesting I was just reading today Ray Franz, in search of christian freedom, a people for his name chapter discusses this same subject the tetra is not found in the original writings, one thing he did mention that earlier commentaries from the 3rd or 4th century used Jehovah in their rendition of the YHWH in their books way before the 13th century monk.... Jesus must be shown honor -

The Appeal and Draw of the Watchtower
by Saved_JW inwhen i first left the watchtower organization in 2008, a flood of emotions came back to me.
betrayal, anger, resentment, deep depression from the relationships lost.
emotions seemed to guide my viewpoint of others as well.

The Romans in their history used tactics such as instilling fear to its people for centuries for obedience. .. the WT does the same, if you don't do "works" of faith you will not be saved & destroyed....
I asked a longtime born JW, relative to my child from his father, who is in his 60s & i asked him a question about the generation & his response "it's all confusing & too confusing to keep track off the changes, what's important is showing love to one another" .... he is a very smart person, was a captin in from a fire department, but that's it, many JWs are zombies when it comes to changes they believe what's in print of the publications must be true since the other things like hellfire, God's name etc are true....
I love the youtube channel watchtower examination he has the same issue with his brother & dedicated 1 video to him & he put it perfectly 'he became a brain zombie & gave his brain away' ....

Too Much Discontent in the Congregation Part 3
by Simon Templar innow, 80-85 years later, we are still here.
if i was to do the counsel with a brother who had this much experience, i would have just thanked him for doing the talk, and marked him good on the point.
this is a good way to get money though.

Is heart breaking to hear how these people wasted a lifetime in this organization & now doubting when they could've used that time in better things that brought more happiness in their lives instead of the burdens that your never doing enough... so they read a letter asking for more money yesturday? I didn't go to mtg this past week.... -

Why do people follow demonstrably False Prophets?
by WireRider inwhy does everyone just turn a blind eye to the false teachings of the watchtower?
the bible warns us many times and in many ways not to follow false prophets - including the lake of fire.
fundamentally why do the followers of the watchtower just ignore the very bible they claim to live by?.

It's the illusion that keeps many JWs blinded no matter how much you prove to them many turn a blind eye... the WT has used many clever adjectives in justification of their false prophecies & using words like "false prophets", false teachings, false expectations when referring to themselves is not among them... honestly I've asked myself the same question & they are just "captives of a concept" like Raymond Franz stated.... many like to stay in that "dream of a Godly organization" that doesn't exist... they don't want to awaken & the few of us that do its because we don't dare to turn away from facts & the real truth no matter how difficult it is. -

2 John 10
by What Now? injust looking for some rebuttals to 2 john 10, specifically when it comes to shunning family.
we essentially admitted to our families that we do not want to raise our kids as witnesses and do not believe what jehovah's witnesses teach.
predictably, they use 2 john 10 to justify shunning us, specifically the portion of the verse where it says "if anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your homes or say a greeting to him".. since we are apostates (according to the jw definition), and no longer "bring this teaching", would our family be correct in interpreting this verse to mean that they should shun us?.

As you know jws equate leaving the WT as rejecting God himself if you can reason with them explaining & establish you don't reject God but want to worship him how the bible commands it and not how men want you to worship him... read the whole account first in context so u can defend your position first as to what it was talking about.
