For exactly the same reason that you pronounce other names in English with a J that start with a Y sound in Hebrew. There is nothing magical or special about this name in particular. If you don't like it, don't say it. There's plenty of other fictional characters to admire.

Why does anyone EVER use the "J" sound when translating YHWH?
by sabastious inif you look up the tetragrammaton in strong's concordance you will see that they use the phonetic spelling of "yeh-ho-vaw" but if you scroll down to the bottom of that link you will see this:.
jehovah, the lord.
from hayah; (the) self-existent or eternal; jehovah, jewish national name of god -- jehovah, the lord.

I (pronounced Y ) was the first letter. V was pronounced as U so IEHOVAH in latin was originally pronounced
this was proven by Indiana Jones himself and is therefore an irrefutable fact

Will Hitler be forgiven just because he died????????
by The Searcher ini cannot fathom how the vast majority of my 7.5 million brothers and sisters, (especially all who are members of the worldwide order of special full-time servants of jehovahs witnesses) can believe for one second, the "given" explanation of romans 6:7. this is what taught; .
insight book - 2p.138judgmentday - "those resurrected will not be judged on the basis of the works done in their former life, because the rule at romans 6:7 says: he who has died has been acquitted from his sin.".
therefore, the following 6 scriptures can be ripped out of our bibles, because jesus does not have the god-given right to judge any dead people - because our own death has washed our sins away!!!

I always understood that Hiltler "worked against the holy spirit" which (according to the WTS) is the unforgiveable sin. Thus no resurrection.

To not use them would indicate acceptance of guilt IMHO.
i don't think I agree with this statement. To not use them would just be good PR. any corprotation dealing with a subject as sensetive as this would keep the accused under the rug.
To use them is just burying their heads in the sand, just do nothing until this "all goes away"

ive said it so many times in my life it's meaningless now.
Allah is the god of the muslims. Jehovah is the god of the Jews. Neither means anymore to me than the other

Although I am still certain JW's everywhere will point to this as proof of how smaterer the WTS is than dr's the following points remain true:
1 - JW belief has NOTHING to do with recovery rates. Blood is "bad" because the WTS says it is
2 - if your a JW in a motorcycle accident and your bleeding out your still dead.

More Disclosure Stuff
by metatron inhardly a week passes without some credible figure testifying to ufo reality.. http://beforeitsnews.com/unexplained-phenomena/2012/08/ufo-disclosure-may-be-imminent-2430224.html.
i've followed ufo stories for some years now and this barrage of authoritative people looks unprecedented.
couple that with the claim that ufo sightings have increased enormously in the past couple years and...... who knows?.

believing ET's exist is completely different than believing they have visited our planet.
mathematically yes, I beleive they exist. Have they come to earth? I don't believe it. Space is sooooo big! How they could have found us and travelled here would be such a monumental streak of luck I cannot beleive that it could have occured. My guess on the ridiculous odds of this occuring would be ZILLIONS TO ONE! and after only a hundred years or so of actually sending out communication our radio waves have barely left our tiny little peice of the milky way
nope. no aliens on earth
