does anybody remember some of the sensational demon stories jw's would tell back in the day?
i was a kid in the early 80's and i remember a few times hearing of people having real life encounters with demons.
for example, one sister claimed that before she became a jdub she would regularly talk to demons and they would even fix stuff like her washing machine!
ah yes the demons!
all those pesky demons in backwords lyrics on vinyl (all vanished with CD's)
and "demon attacks"! not possession just "attacks" (all left once sleep paralysis was documented)
and of course hitching rides on garage sale trinkets, of course my affordanle old home and used car arent possessed just your coffee mug and old blanket from down the street
i once asked a jw what his family was doing in secret that brought so many demons into their lives? that shut him up
im asking for you guys help in a phase im going through right now.
im sure it’ll pass but id appreciate your advice..

keep getting friends, get involved in your community, talk to ppl at the gym, take walks around your neighborhood, youll discover that feeling of community that you miss
i just read a thread somewhere on here that someone has been accepted to bethel service along with his wife.
his wife has, of course, been assigned to work in the laundry room.
which compels me to write this little post.. now, i dont consider myself a "feminist" as such, but i definitely believe in equality.

the issue of whether beards are acceptable or not is addressed in the september 2016 watchtower - well sort of.
it is as clear as mud as to whether they are allowed in places like australia, usa and britain.. 17. what are some factors that may affect whether a brother wears a beard?17 what about the propriety of brothers wearing a beard?
the mosaic law required men to wear a beard.
an elder i spoke with implied it is now a conscience decision whether to have a beard

i heard today about a former jw/now apostate who is dying in hospital.
this information was accompanied by the comment of "wouldn't be awful to be lying there in hospital,dying as an apostate!

say you went to your dr because you were pregnant and unmarried or wanting counseling for having to live a double life as a pretend jw... and a jw secretary at the drs office saw this on your file and went tattling to the elders?.
