  2012 Memorial Season Special March Edition Awake!

  the special talk given on the weekend after the memorial is entitled "is it later than you think?".

  publishers will again have the option of a 30- or a 50- hour requirement as an auxiliary pioneer, this year for the month of march.. here is a scan of the special edition awake!

  Clear distinction of people on JWN

  this has been an interesting science project to say the least.

  here is what i have learned:.

  you have about 6 types of people posting on jwn, they all fit into a profile.. #1 you have people like me that ran the race, exemplified conduct while in the jw cult and learned through observation that there was a severe disconnect between truth, and the jw cult's statements.

  okay, so i am new to the site, but i have been following ur threads for awhile now, and i am finding great comfort in them!

  no, i am not a witness and i have never been, and never will be!

  i did however, date a witness for about three years.. it was our typical 357th biweekly 'man hating' girls night out, and meeting mr. right was the last thing on my mind!

  My goodness, I have never read such a saddening experience, especially when you said that the elders decided to allow your boyfriend to only go to the funeral, who the hell are they to decide something like that?!!!! At least you now you both know what a horrible religion this is, I too am disfellowshipped and my own mother doesn't talk with me at all, if only she could see what we all here on this board see and know about the society. Btw welcome!

  Shunned by a pharisaic elder

  stopped in a local eatery this evening for their famous vegetarian enchilada casserole and there was a man in there, an elder in a local congregation who i was aquatinted with (he did some work for me at my home) and we know his wife.

  he was in the same congregation i was in for a time.. i went over to him to say hi and shake his hand and when i reached out he pulled his hand away so i looked over at his partner who was obviously a bible study and reached out to shake his hand and as i did i said to him the reason he wont shake my hand is that hes mad because i dont go to meetings anymore.

  i walked away and nothing else was said.. .

  if you still go or remember the days when you did what did you think about while you were sat there?

  obviously it's very difficult to concentrate.. lol..assemblies i find impossible and have often drifted off to sleep, listening to the endless same old stuff.. .

  and i want some funny stories.. .

  I would check the sisters out, think about Fallout (videogame), at the assemblies I'd think about where we would go out to eat lol and when I started dating all I thought about was having sex with my girlfriend
