You might have noticed that most everyone at this web site feels like they've been wronged for one reason or another and will jump to "prove" to you why they are absolutely right, sometimes with arguments that are often long and, at least to my feeble brain, rather tedious and disjointed. Then again some merely tend to chide you for showing even the tiniest bit of interest in the JW's. Usually the meaning behind their comments is, "If you want to know something about the JW's, you must be stupid or at the minimum, uneducated. Look at all the "proof" we've posted here! My life was in shambles because of them. Do you know what they did to me? Why, they............... Only a moron could ignore all this."

Point is: Most here have a heavy axe to grind and it is oh so obvious in their posts, even though they may not realize it, though in some cases, they acknowledge it.

Could the similar things be said about the JW's? Maybe.

But wouldn't it be wise to at least give them a fair hearing. It's just my personal opinion, but I suggest being fair. Listen to both sides. Wanna read what's written here? Fine. Then listen to what the witnesses say and judge for yourself. Something mighty important hangs in the balance.

And, yes, you can almost always find them listed in either the White or Yellow Pages of your town.

PS: Just a personal note to throw into you're bag of information. I was contacted by one of the witnesses who came to my door in 1970, studied with them for about 2 years, and then was baptized in 1972, the only one of my extensive family to accept the witnesses teachings. I left the witnesses after about 8 years. Came back of my own volition about 11 years later. After examining the evidence from both inside the organization and from outside the organization, I am personally convinced that, while they have by no means been perfect, they are the true religion. But that's just one man's opinion. Like I said above, you'll have to judge for yourself.

Is it really so that they chose their pathetic religion over you? Harden your heart against your parents and against Jehovah's witnesses and against Jehovah himself for that matter! Know it all jerks. They always think they're right no matter what we show them. They've made mistakes so don't let 'em forget it. And they don't even have the decency to admit it. You've got the right to do whatever you want. So satisfy yourself. Forget about your stupid family. If they cared about you, they'd give up their beliefs. Idoits in the congregation. Nobody ever cares about anyone else. They're all mindless robots, especially the older ones. Find some other friends. They'll probably support you when times get tough. Even forget that. You can do it all yourself. You're a rock, an island. You don't need anyone. Any and all religion is for the suckers. A good job and a good education are the most important things in life. Sure, you'll die in the end, we all do. But they'll probably die first and that should bring some relief. Meantime, there's so many good movies and TV programs and hobbies to engage in and truly intelligent people to talk to and good food to eat and beverages to drink. Don't worry about putting on weight. No one has the right to judge you. Satisfy yourself. Make them feel guilty. Play head games with 'em. Make 'em suffer! Taste the fruit. It's so good. Take a lover. Explore your sexual side. Or don't. You decide. Ever try expanding your mind through chemistry? That can be fun. And if money gets short, there's no end to the guys who'll "help you out" for a small favor. There's so many things to do and explore away from the "holier than thou" witnesses. Immerse yourself in whatever suits your fancy or feels good. It's all about you. Want to volunteer to help someone? Will that make you feel better? Then do it. Do whatever YOU want to do. If you get to feeling down, come to this site. I learned everything I've written right here! Nothing like cyberspace to make a person feel loved. Above all, never give in. Good and bad? You decide.

heh, i haven't visited a site like this is well over a year, i guess.

but i used to like to read the posts of "you know" at the hourglass2 web site.

loved the way he could get under the skin of so many and how he continually confounded the naysayers.

Thanks to Oz and Iarc for directions in finding "You Know's" posts. And, by the way, a certain poster at H2O used to end all his posts with "Cheers", and I noticed that Oz does that as well. Certainly it is a common thing to use that term, but it set me to wondering if Oz is "Bibleman". At least, I think that was the persons username at H2O. It's been a while.

Also, Oz said, "Do you know me?"

Not sure if that was directed to me or not, but if so:

I doubt it. I posted occasionally at H2O, but not enough to get "known", I don't believe.

To "You Know":
What a pleasure to find and read some of your posts. Not to flatter, but I must say that I do particularly enjoy the times when you unravel and shatter the supposed 'logic' in apostate posts. Greg Stafford is a master at that as well. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the ability to do that is at least part of what Solomon referred to in the Proverbs when he spoke of "understanding."

Don't have too much spare time to visit here, but as time allows, I look forward to reading your future posts.

Heh, I haven't visited a site like this is well over a year, I guess. But I used to like to read the posts of "You Know" at the Hourglass2 web site. Loved the way he could get under the skin of so many and how he continually confounded the naysayers. Made me laugh. But it seems that that site is no more. Anyone know if he posts anymore? This site looks like a good target (albeit a tad easy), but I haven't found any of his posts so far.
