The "Invisible" HEADSCARF and VEIL

right this minute you already have an answer in place inside your own head that you absolutely hold to be true.. because of your "invisible" headscarf and veil your actions, your acceptance, your loyalty is driven by your submission to unchallenged ideas.

nature is filled with winners and losers .. winners rule, dominate, lead, conquer, devour and hold sway.. losers submit, obey, follow, surrender, die or knuckle under.. .

animals establish territory and defend their turf.

Jehovah's Witnesses - As Objects Of Pity

i sometimes have to wonder....... if a subtle transition might take place with regard to the general context of being a jehovah's witness.. a transition away from being objects of hatred towards being legitimate objects of pity.. if this seems far-fetched, consider that some extended witness families have now drifted into having the next generation gone completely or faking it at best.

there are also cases of long term witnesses being accosted by long term co-workers as to 'what happened, i thought armageddon was supposed to be here' (and it's been twenty years).. when you hear a circuit assembly condemn college.... or facebook.... or the internet......or vampire novels, do you ask yourself, "how long can they repeat this stuff?

" i don't think the answer is 'indefinitely'.

Schedule.. Circuit Overseer's Week Visit for my Wife..

sunday..talk and wt (not really part of visit).

monday..prepare for tuesday meeting and she has a part.

tuesday..sm and tms... gives part.

It must be tough... I've been out since 87... didn't deal with it , till lately when mt sister started coming to see us, she is in Hawaii and the only active one in a third Gen family...

since being around her again it brought it to the front.. she's been shunning us My Mom inactive Dad Df'd me and youger sis DF'd 2 younger bros never baptised..

Now she wants to visit us and acts like nothing's happen for the last 20 years... I felt uncomfortable just being around her.. I wondered if things had changed.. since her reappearance.. but from what I've read on here..it hasn't ,I have hope she may come to her senses..

But I have empathy for those in divided houses.. I can't even imagine seeing some one you love, and feeling like they are not really with you..

So hang in there man.. someday .. you never know ..

hello all, i've been on this site for a few weeks (reading for longer) and i have to say this site has helped me a great deal.

i see from reading all the posts that many many people share my views on the whole jw thing and i'm so glad i can express myself without getting into problems with getting reported to the elders or something.

i am currently in my late 30's happily married to a jaydub with 2 kids.

Why Can JWs Eat Turkey On Thanksgiving & Still Say They Aren't Celebrating?

i don't get it.. the idea is that it's ok to eat food on any day as everyday is a day of thanksgiving.

it was the only holiday that i knew witnesses to celebrate.. .

my who hasn't been to a meeting in about 20 years .. still calls and say's " Since you have the day off I would like to have you and your brothers over for dinner..(talking on eggshells, to be sure as to indicate any holiday insinuation)"

"That sounds great MOM"

"Is there anything you would like me to make"

"Sure how bout a Turkey and stuffing"

"No!! That is out of the question! and you know why!!!"

"Ok enchilladias!!" LOL

I guess since she's been out so long (inactive).. she is unaware of recent trends .. I've been encouraging her to go back to meetings.. The encouragement i recieved.. drove me here..

BEARDS: Why JW men don't have them

i know this has been dished over before, but when i was doing some research i discovered a couple of interesting points.

as far as i can find, there is only one wt article that implies that jw men should not have beards.

here is a picture of my Dad after he was disfellowshiped for smoking, when he couldn't quit... I remember my sister telling me "Dad is rejecting Jehovah by growing the beard"... and she gave some explanation... but thats my take on beards, definately anti-JW... plus want to show a picture of my awesome Dad..... This Picture was famous in my town it made the paper.. It's called Sasquwatch the mad Monk.. lol
