so i said that i would post this letter that i sent out to fb jws who were still my friends on fb at the time.. a little background might be in order here.

i was called to meet with two elders in the hall because i had filed to run for political office.

i knew that sooner or later i would have to agree to do so.

some years ago there was a documentary called "harlan county, usa", that dealt with an on going coal strike.

obviously the wt is pro-life when it comes to abortion, whatever the circumstances (a viewpoint completely devoid of human empathy, a quality which they consider so important) according to the bible, life begins at conception, and deliberately terminating a pregnancy is punishable with death.. but are unborn foetuses going to be resurrected?

no.. it seems that embryo's are 'human' enough for god to be pissed if you abort one, but not human enough for him to care about giving a second chance after armageddon.. another idea that's been repeated to me by several witnesses, is that some children (only the angelic like ones of course, not the little hellions that run around stepping on frogs) will survive armageddon, because they can not have made a proper decision about serving god.

but a worldly woman who is pregnant will die, thus condemning herself and her unborn to everlasting destruction.. a bit unfair isn't it?.

talking about this case the other day, she came up with the thought that would it not be good if they are found guilty that a public apology for disobeying the law etc had to be printed in the public edition of the watchtower magazine.. now that would be better even that a massive fine i reckon!.

I'm in a pretty dark place...

i know many of you have felt this way but it still hurts.. i was doing fine, great actually but then all of the sudden a huge wave of pain hit my body out of the blue.

man its so hard living this life, always pretending, except when you're alone.

i feel like its eating me from the inside.. so many times i want to just give up, on both sides.

I remember this question as a child and I never got a good answer... something like God is not dealling with us that way because He's had it with us !!

Then why go this magazine route, that always.. bothered me.. It lead me to atheism.. through the science channels.. But weirdly I still was afaid of what the Watchtower says .. Now I know why,..IT's a cult.. My mind was still bonded to their BS some how..

atheism answers it for me ..

Does anybody still believe in God and the Bible?

i just want to know out of interest how many here still believe in god and christ and that the bible is god's word.

my faith in the wts is gone but i still love god and his son.

i've noticed that many here have lost their faith in god as well as the wts.

I became an atheist... way before I found the BS about the watchtower.. I'm 3rd gen... Finding out I was raised in a cult... has changed my life I can now, allow my self to explore any possibilities ... Like other religions... This site has help free me ...

So For no It's a I'd like too on GOD... but my big brains say no..... and a definate NO on Bible...

I feel a lot better about God, than I did before I join here
