Why are the world's anointed not called to Brooklyn to be Governing Body?
by free2beme inwhen i was in the witnesses, and near the end of my time in.
there was the whole new understanding, of putting non-anointed people in positions in the organization that were normally something an anointed person would be in.
i remember them mentioning that the amount of anointed was dwindling and there needed to be people in these positions of responsibility, to make sure the work continues.. after this was highlighted and all good witnesses swallowed this thinking hook line and sinker.

Tractazine or Minizine ... What do you call them now?
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite init looks like data-dog has issued his vote for tractazine as the moniker for the new half-sized wt magazines.. i had also proposed minizine as a descriptive name.. or course ragazine, half-asleep!, and half-botchtower are appropriate.. any other votes or suggestions?.

Amway

i was caught up in there online program quixstar for a little while several years ago.
i noticed there are several similarities between amway and a cult..

I got sucked into amway right after I left the Borg... My wife and I just had our baby and this couple from work would just not let up..
OMG.. It felt exactly like the TRUTH... that leads to eternal riches... so it freaked me out .. as it turns out The couple, they were engaged,
got marrried, then know longer had time force us to meetings and listen to the great tapes...
So I did some research on here, my finding Amway is not a cult .. the groups that are formed from them are.. the upline streams
I worked for a company a couple of years a go where the owner was into a new product called Monavi or something
The product was really good and I wanted it, he didn't care about that... it was the group functions that were the real deal .. oh if I could only express his zeal!!!
I said no thanks at every turn, I finally figured out from every one who had already been there.. avoid him at all cost..LOL

I took my Mom to The Hobbit IMAX 3D.... for Christmas... she didn't know she was celebrating, and if you told her she'd say she wasn't LOL..
and I celebrated my birthday, for the first time, yesterday, just dinner with some friends
It was a mexican place, they sang Happy Birthday to me with a sombrero (big mexican hat).. it was great, I'll try to post the picture later
and I'm off till the 2nd also ..

Remarkable Statistic - Bible Studies compared to Baptisms
by jwfacts ini am surprised i have not noticed this before, particularly since this is one of the most important statistics, and so have just added the new graphs to watchtower publisher statistics.. the number of bible studies generally trends roughly with the number of publishers on a one to one basis.
however, the number of baptisms has not been rising.
this has resulted in a rapidly falling conversion rate.
