I hate to sound foolish, but may I ask you all a question? If you wanted out, why not simply DA yourself, or refuse to meet with these men you know have no authority over you any longer, and let them df you without meeting with them? I consider myself to be someone who tries to show others respect, but from some of the descriptions I have read of some jc's, I seriously would have told these men to blow it out their butts after a few minutes. I don't mean to sound flip, I am just really curious. Thank you.

I ask myself the same thing... FEAR.. I still believed it was the TRUTH... no support like now... I figured I would make it though Armagedon on my own, as long as I didn't do the unforgiveble, think for myself...

I told them I had sex.. they had to have me discribe the penetration everytime .. the one older elder got off on it everytime..

I was privately reproved/removed as a pioneer...

publicly reproved..

Disfellowshiped ..

They asked everytime about the penetration... the final one I wanted out .. so I went as a repeat, repeat repeat offender..

i got to say "i'm not interested"

2 sisters came to the door and since i dont live in the territory they dont know me and i got to say "i'm not interested" for the first time :).

it felt awesome.

didnt have a chance to engage in conversation as i was quite busy but it was a nice first for me..

I did feel bad for the kid .. I kinda wanted to listen .. but freeked me out cause it reminded me of me..

It's great now .. no guilt when I se them..

it felt awesome.

didnt have a chance to engage in conversation as i was quite busy but it was a nice first for me..

oh and I have some good things from the experience(being raised JW)... but they don't out way all the bad .. and you can get good qualities from a less destructive place.. too

at that time ... dealing with a witness brought tremendious guilt trips for me.. I didn't know what to say.. plus the kid didn't want to read it thats for sure..

what woke me up was that I could never bring my self to tell my own daughter about it.. I felt it was wrong to teach doom and gloom to minors...plus if it's not the end, why worry her pretty little head.. I'll look into it when she's older.. best choice I ever made

I was in the 3rd grade in 1974 and went in service every saturday.. it was hell....

It was a wake up call foir me that day.. I wish I had a do over, I would have told the kid what I thought, then looked at his Dad and said,

" maybe you should think twice about exposing your child out in the Door to door work"

i was doing some reading on jonestown recently, which led me to some reading on the branch davidians and the heaven's gate folks.. it seems to me (and this is the part i want to discuss) doomsday or apocolyptic cults all share some common characteristics:.

- secret knowledge of am impending disaster.

- their survival if they follow the messages from a higher source that their leader receives.
