This is a fascinating thread, thank you cedars for your hard work on this. I was wondering what effect the earths population growth would have on these figures. If, for example, the population grew by 3% a year, how many extra JW's each year would be needed to preach to that number?

Of course this also means that the longer Jehovah delays armageddon, the more people his Witnesses will have to preach to, and ultimately the more people Jehovah will have to destroy.

If thats the case, then it make a mockery of the teaching that God is holding back armageddon until the preaching work is done.

Well folks, things have taken a turn for the worse with this. My brother has now been missing for a month with absolutely no contact with his wife and family. He took the car and £1000 in cash as well as all the family's camping gear which suggests a planned exit.

He didn't mention his plans to anyone, he just upped and left without a word. I've just been informed by his kids (all adults) that he's missing and the police are involved.

Apparently before leaving he was VERY preachy about the Galactic Federation and all thats supposed to happen in the very near future. He wanted us to stockpile food and water. His whole demeanour had changed and he spoke with a powerful conviction about being among the aliens and visiting their lightships.

His car number plate was spotted on CCTV at a garage in Durham, England 3 weeks ago but he hasn't been seen since. His son is travelling up to the highlands of Scotland next week to visit some of their favourite places to see if he can be located.

If anyone on here who is in the Scottish Highlands, please please please keep an eye out for a tall good looking guy, 53 years old called ROBERT BAKER. His family thinks he would want to talk about the Galactic Federation so he may get chatting to people in restaurants and coffee shops.

Ive emailed Rick Ross about this group and are hoping to try and pinpoint if they have a leader or HQ but at the moment the whole network seems loose and based on bloggers and channelers on the Internet.

If anyone else has any suggestions on how to proceed with this, I'd be so grateful. I feel totally out of my depth with this and don't know where to start.

My biggest fear is he'll be found dead.

many on our forum still go to the memorial or have to answer to family about not going.

I understand how your wife feels. I was a hardcase with my husband for not keeping the kids quiet too. In fact I used to berate him for not taking control like I felt he should.

With the benefit of hindsight I can now understand how much is put on the believing wife to have her children and family well regarded and classed as good associates. The pressure is huge. In turn us girls transfer the pressure onto our husbands because they are supposed to be taking the lead etc.

So the kids are ratty and bored due to unrealistic expectations from the parents. The husband is ratty due to unrealistic expectations from the wife, and the wife is ratty due to unrealistic expectations from the congregation.

Problem is, the wife can't blame the congregation because its Jehovah's mouthpiece, so the husband gets it in the neck instead - sorry guys!

Memorial is best avoided. Better still, keep the kids home with you too if you can.

i was brought up around the truth.

my dad was disfellowshiped when i was young, around 6-7. he was a elder and very devoted even going to jail when he was younger for the truth.

he had a stroke and started preaching things that the society was not teaching and he was disfellowshiped.

They are 2 excellent books which will answer many of your questions, not all, but many.

Oh, and a bit of advice. Try to stop using phrases like "the truth". These are words indoctrinated into you so that you readily accept everything coming from the Society as "Truth" without question.

You know this isnt so.
