Hmmm... but remember folks, for those who still believe the bible if you were baptized as a JW you were never baptized in the name of the Father the son and the holy spirit as Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:19). (or if you're a hardball Trinitarian, simply in Jesus name). You were baptized in the name of the Father, the son and - gods spirit directed organization. So that baptism don't mean shit.

Another One - UK JW pedophile faces deportation
by OrphanCrow inman faces deportation after fondling young boy he met through church.
(full article at link).
fiscal depute ross carvel had told the court that komorowski became friendly with the parents of the child as they were members of the same church and were jehovah’s witnesses.“they became concerned about the behaviour of komorowski when their son’s behaviour changed.

“There was a confrontation with Komorowski who spoke with a number of elders at the church. He admitted the offense. Then the father told the police after Komorowski was expelled."
After? Hmm... sounds like the elders have been reading their Shepherd The Flock Of God Book rather than following common sense.

Theme of this year's series of Conventions
by MrTheocratic init was announced this week that the theme for the 3 day convention is "do not give up".
these are the words that are spoken to someone who is struggling and is in the process of giving up.
this theme tells me that many in the organization are tiring out and slowing down.

Lets be honest now, how many young non-born in members are there? Very few. Even 33% of the born in's leave eventually.
Once the 1970s/80s generation die off or leave then who's there? I really hope i see the downfall with my lifetime and im only 32.
I hope there's a follow on to the BUNKER VIDEO - Kevin and his mates are still alive and well and decide to check up on the witnesses in their bunker:

Jehovah's Wonderous Creation - The Guinea Worm

You're not likely to see this in an Awake! magazine, but here goes. For those that believe in intelligent design please explain this one to me:
Dracunculus Medinensis, otherwise known as the Guinea Worm, native to certain countries in Subsaharan Africa.
This worm is a parasite that enters the human body at the flea stage through contaminated drinking water, bores its way through the human stomach and and then grows and grows until they leave. Their head protrudes through the human body, usually the leg or foot, causing so much pain that the victim usually wants to get near some water - the perfect place for the worm to spit out its babies, after which having completed its purpose, the worm dies.
They exist purely to take advantage of homo sapiens (us). Scientists are currently working to make them exstint due to them causing the deaths of so many little babies that simply wanted a drink of water.
The disease rarely causes death in adults, but the worm tends to stay in the body for a year and it takes an excruciatingly painful period of several weeks for the worm to leave the body. If present in joints it can do permanent damage and in the spine paralysis.
So, please explain why Jehovah decided to create such a little beast with no other purpose than to infect us humans and cause us pain and, in the case of babies, a painful death?

help me think like an elder
by Homer notsimpson inok guys, i have been tasked to ask for your opinions regarding this case.. and be honest.
my brother sexted a girl a little over a year ago, they never dated, and she got mad at him.... she got engaged and the engagement ended in august.. she attempted suicide, then talked to the elders an told him she was gonna tell on him too, now that was in august, the sister told my brother that since she didn't know his hall they couldn't do anything.. we found that doesn't seem right, so hes been freaking out, but ita now two days away from 2017 and the elders haven't speaked to him yet.. why could that be?
could they give him all this time to confess?

Tell him not to sweat it. Such a thing would need to be dealt with by HIS congregation elders. If they had proof they would have raised it with him by now. And even if they do want to meet with him he can turn down a visit. Or, if he does accept a visit deny deny deny.
!What, a suicidal, emotional teenage girl with apparent commitment issued claims i sent naked pics to her? Im offended! And it's rather stumbling that you brothers would think such a thing."

A Comforting Thought About Watchtower
by freemindfade inthis organization will never again be what it was by 2013-2014. .
they peaked in the form they were, i believe they were already falling apart in ways, but from the outside and to the majority r&f, things likely still seemed on the up and up.
browsing through the boards and just keeping my finger on the pulse of what's happening, this organization will never again be what it was.

I do hope the WTS topples in my lifetime. I always explain it to outsiders as "like North Korea". Everyone thinking they're the only ones that are unhappy and think everyone else are happy. The looking over your shoulder, the snitching, the propaganda, looking at the outside world with envy.
Surely no young ones are converting these days are they? And the born ins are dropping like flies.

Oh yes Donald Trump is a sure sign that the end is nigh. Just like when I was "in" and 9/11 was supposed to be a sign. As was hurricane Katrina. And women bishops being allowed in the Church Of England. Come now, the witnesses have been jumping at every world evet since WW1.
They just LOVE a natural disaster or terrorist attack - it feeds their paranoia.

So my brother called me last night...
by pale.emperor inmy older brother is studying with the witnesses.
he was raised in a jw household like we all were but he never committed to it.
he stopped attending meetings at 18yo, made a lot of bad decisions in his life and now, at 35yo is having a bible study.

They'll be on your brother to never speak to you again because you obviously have a demon inside you.
Yeah i know. He's still being love bombed. One particular elder has really latched onto him. Calls him twice daily to see how his is, they hang out, the congregation invite him to a lot of things. I know that once he's baptized they'll all go.

My older brother is studying with the witnesses. He was raised in a JW household like we all were but he never committed to it. He stopped attending meetings at 18yo, made a lot of bad decisions in his life and now, at 35yo is having a bible study. He's the poster boy of "what happens to people when they want to experience the world".
This was the first time we'd spoken in months. He's been shunning me like the rest of my family have (even though he's not a JW yet, so he can actually talk to me if he wants to).
We talked for about an hour about whats new with me and i kept it very nice and told him how great my life is now. It was HE who turned the topic to "the truth" in the last 20mins. Unfortunately for him, he's talking to a once very committed JW who did A LOT of research and bible reading before leaving the cult. So although he was trying to make me "see sense and return to Jehovah" it actually ended up with me planting some seeds.
He told me that his study has told him "you're asking too many questions. When you get baptized things will become more apparent. Wait on Jehovah." I had to get him to repeat that because it sounded too incredible. Yes, he's asking "too many questions". I told him there's no such thing as too many questions.
The following seeds were planted:
The bible students used to teach that Christ would return in 1914 and bring Armageddon. When that never happened they then said that Christ did return but he was invisible. (He didnt believe this, so i sent him a scan from one of Russel's books later that evening). Now, this cant be true because the bible says Christ will return in the same manner that he left. And when he left, the apostles saw him float up to heaven with their own eyes. So if he's to return in the same manner, that means we'd see him with our own eyes come down from heaven.
Acts 1:11: and said: “Men of Galʹi·lee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus who was taken up from you into the sky will come in the same manner as you have seen him going into the sky.”
When we were kids, our dad used to say that Armageddon would definitely come within our lifetimes. Because there were people alive that were alive in 1914 who will still be here when Armageddon comes. Remember the generation that will never pass away?
He then said "yes, but it's been updated" (he said it as if that was a positive thing). So i said "why do you think they changed it?" and he replied "well, because they all died".
Then he went on about how he's nearly finished "the book". I asked what book, the bible? He said "no, the Bible Teach book." So i asked him how much of the bible has he read on his own. He said "he reads the bible with the Watchtowers and books and looks up the scriptures they tell him to". So i said "If you're having a bible study, the bible alone should be what you're studying, and the final word on your beliefs - if of course you believe the bible". (he knows im agnostic). Then comes the kicker... he said "yes but its impossible to understand the bible without the Watchtower." I asked him to repeat that. He did. I asked "why do you say that?". "Well, because gods chosen channel is the governing body and only they can tell us what the bible really teaches". I asked why he thinks that. His answer was "because it says so in the Watchtower".
As incredible as that sounds that actually what he said. I very nicely told him of the many, many, many errors the Watchtower has made and told him to read the Feb 2017 Watchtower which confirms they're neither inspired or infallible. Then i asked him where does the "new light" come from if they're not inspired?.
He said he'd ask his study conductor.
There seems to be a trend lately. A few weeks ago my sister rings out of the blue (see my previous posts) and now this with my brother. They end up going away with more questions for their elders than me feeling scared of the big org.
