but now that everything the witnesses taught is 99.99% incorrect can somone explain what he was getting at here?
JWs believe the whole of the New Testament is addressed to the anointed, not the other sheep.
slimboyfat do you have a cross reference from any Watchtower publication for this? I'd love to have it to hand the next time they come knocking. I didnt know this when i was a JW and i'd be sure many others wouldn't either.
yesterday i made a visit to the museum in my city.
the top floor is the planetarium, which has a connecting room with a huge dome ceiling where they project lessons and lectures and you have a 360 view of the night sky etc.. this particular lecture explained about our galaxy, and how it's only one of billions in the universe.
and then we learned about each planet, some of their moons and the sun.

1. The earth was not baptized. The earth didn't commit a sin and need "saving".
2. Baptism was introduced by John the baptist, not before.
3. The whole earth did not receive fire and brimstone, only Sodom and Gomorrah did.

And who will be on the earth if people are destined to go to heaven?
Im asking purely for interest. I dont believe the bible is inspired any more than Herge's Adventures of Tintin is.

This is the form the elders fill in about you if you get disfellowshipped or disassociate... disassociated ones are treated exactly the same as disfellowshipped ones. Joining another religion, accepting a blood transfusion or joining the army are all they need you to do in order to declared you disassociated. It's check mate my friend.

this number can only be positive.. what the graph tells us is that there is a clear trend towards hunting down inactive and/or irregular publishers.
I remember the announcement that we could now count 30mins/15mins in the ministry. Then lo and behold, the next yearbook shown that the ministry hours had shot up. Straight away i saw through that crap and wondered why our loving GB would need to stoop to that level. Now when you think about it, it also makes the inactive ones able to put in 15mins or so just to keep on them on the books.
Im quite glad my ministry reports were all fiction. Surely there's many more that do that?

I agree. My videos dont feature me, just video recordings of talks, little informational videos and Rutherford recordings of him putting his foot in it.
JW's would just love us to get all angry and confrontational with them. It just reaffirms their delusion that they're special like the apostles when they were "persecuted".

Crises of Conscience sheds clearer light on this. Can't remember the details but Rutherford used his legal knowledge to wrangle control of Russell's organisation despite Russell naming a successor (and it wasn't Rutherford). Even going so far as to ignore Russell's last will and testament, declaring it null and void.
It kinda reminds me of how Hitler took over the Nazi party despite Anton Drexler founding it.
