Marriage Proposal in the Kingdom Hall
by Listener injust when you think you've seen it all comes another interesting use of a kingdom hall.a young man serenades his girlfriend with a song (possibly a watchtower song) from the stage through a microphone and backed by recorded music.
then he steps off the stage and gets down on one knee and proposes as he pulls out a ring from his coat pocket.
the large projector screen flashes up behind them with a picture of a sapphire and diamond ring.cameras capture the joyous moment as she accepts and they lock together in a loving hug.

I’ve always wondered how long it would take for all the flesh to decompose....how the earth was cleaned up of all the skeletons....cannot imagine Noah and his family walking through skeletons everywhere they went....
Decomposition takes ~9years to get to skeleton stage. (Speculation starts...) Do you suppose this could have been another miracle? Speeding up the process perhaps?
Can anyone readjust my thinking here?

How would your partner feel if you were to take her to non JW religious activities? Often churches provide an after school story and play time once a week. It can be fun for the children but you may be totally against this idea yourself. It is also the wrong thing to do if you just intend to do this as a retaliation.
The mother has left the org herself only 3 weeks ago. She has a non JW boyfriend and they stay over at eachothers houses. Her family know but the rest of her congregation and my side of the family think she's simply stopped attending meetings.
We both agree that JW.borg is bullshit. We were both born in's an know what it's like and at the very least we both agree that we dont want our daughter raised as a JW. So no worry of her going to JW activities.
Personally, i'd rather they not even teach religion in school. In my home i collect hindu idols because im interested in Hindu mythology. She know's their names but doesnt for a second think they're demonic or naughty.

he became a jw about 1975 and was the influence for prince becoming a jw.

I take it your ex has left the cult but is not dfd yet? If so that explains a lot. I’m seeing more and more cases of JWs getting away with more and more and as long as their not dfd then it’s all good.
Yep, that's exactly it. She has a non-JW boyfriend now and they sleep over at each others houses. Nobody knows because she hasn't told them. They just assume she's not going to meetings for a bit but will "come to her senses".

and--without wishing to appear rude--what did that appointment cost you? PM me if you prefer.
I just googled "Family Law Liverpool" and picked the highest rated one on google. The initial consultation was actually free. They give you your options and you go away and think about it and if you want to take it further that's where the money comes in.
Fees were as follows:
Them writing a threatening letter - £175
Then it's £225 per hour the the associates services OR £125 per hour the the trainee to do it instead (who, i was assured was just as good and capable).
Court costs vary but are around £300 and there'd be a minimum of two court visits. So tot up two court visits PLUS lawyers hourly fee's and you may as well just give them your bank cards.
Yes, we're all in the wrong job!
