  In what foolishness are they likely to become involved?

  Probably the "judgement message" they've talked about off & on for 50+ years.
  

  They seem to have that symposium laid out in what they expect to be chronological order.

  So, at least at this point, they seem to not have any plans to piss off householders (more than usual) any time soon, by proclaiming their "na na na God's gonna kill you now" message. It seems they think that will happen after the start of the GT.
