  one sunday, we took our dad out for lunch.

  since it didn't open till 12:00, we were going to have to kill time.

  this restaurant is situated with other businesses around a small park and when we parked, we noticed there was a cart to the right in the park.

  I've recently seen a few who dont even have a cart. Just standing there holding a magazine to their chests cover facing.

  It looks very odd.

  If I didnt know who they were I still wouldn't stop, it looks like they're activists selling newspapers.

  Unfortunately, the majority of those who vote LEAVE are the older generation - the very ones who'll be dead in a few decades leaving my generation and that of my children living in the mess they voted for.

  Leaving the EU is a step backward in my opinion. Stupidest idea I've heard outside of a Watchtower.

  Mentally diseased ANOINTED!

  my aunt is a super uber jw, albeit a little more delusional than the standard issue jw.

  she has 4 kids all who are out and never baptised, she's a widow now and sold the family home and has bought a new place and has plenty of cash in the bank.

  my cousins are all very concerned because their mum has a new friend whos "anointed" and says jehovah has spoken to her and she will survive armageddon and so will her kids if she sticks close.. she has been paying out for holidays and vehicle repairs for this anointed sister and her extended family and my cousins are alarmed at whats going on and can see the situation for what it is.

  My friends have been to see it and told me that there is even a Mike Myers cameo in it (remember his scene with Bohemian Rhapsody from Wayne’s World?)

  Yh! I never noticed until I got back home and saw it mentioned online. He's the plays the head of EMI. His accent and makeup is so well done you'd never think it was him.

  Watched it last night. I absolutely loved it. Malik plays a very good Freddy (that accent isn’t easy to do). Brian and John are dead ringers and the mannerisms were just like them (John Deacons squint!).

  Ive has the line aid version of Radio Gaga on a lot this morning 😊

  The Elton John biopic is out next: Rocketman.

  Noah 'warning the people'

  am i imagining this?at the kingdom hall we were told many times that noah warned the others about the coming flood and was ridiculed but actually there is no evidence of this in the bible!there is however evidence to the contrary.

  matthew 24:37-39.

  37 as it was in the days of noah, so it will be at the coming of the son of man.

  crazy people shoot up places and kill people.

  take away guns and they will find knives, poison, bombs , etc.. seriously, there are a lot of mentally unhealthy people!

  A lot of mentally ill people here in the UK too minimus... guess how many have gone into a school and shot up or sliced up a classroom?

  To my recollection, the last one was the Dunblane massacre in 1996 with 17 casualties. In fact, random people taking up arms and randomly killing eachother isnt very common over here. Sure we still have gangs (who tend to target other gangs) and we have terrorism but nowhere near the level the USA has.

  so my mum died from mild form of lukemia which can simply be treated with a blood transfusion each month.

  to me this was a watchtower assisted suicide.

  the liaison elder encouraged her to "stay strong" and said a prayer.

  I know my mum would. In fact, she'd take two just to pove how holier than the rest of them she is.

  My sisters would too.

  Getting Remarried after a spouses death & then they are resurrected after Armageddon ?

  hi guys .

  i was wondering about the above , if a jw is allowed to remarry if a spouse has died, then what happens when they are resurrected at armageddon, do u land up with two wives/husbands ,,,,,,, makes no sense to me & can the jw's be so dumb not to think about this or have i got it wrong ?

  and i will not be asking my uber jw husband , don't have the energy.. thanks.

  Did you enjoy your visit to Bethel?

  i recently had to take a trip with my family to bethel.

  it was a bit torturous for a secret apostate as you can imagine.

  but mostly just so boring.

  I went to the one in New York back in 2004 and the London one in 2009. At the time I genuinely enjoyed the New York one simply because I believed it was the dwelling place of "the governing body" - the holy of holies. Saw lots of printing machines and people being overworked with painted smiles. There was a little museum just to the right of the reception with CT Russell era stuff.
  

  The one in London wasn't interesting at all. I remember they made us watch a video before the tour started. Cant remember what it was about but something along the lines of it's a privilege to be here. But I got what I could out of it. At one of the printing presses there were orange magazines being churned out and the guide told us not to look at what they're printing because it's a new mag for the convention (it turned out to be the "Origin of Life" brochure).

  
  

  At the end of the London tour they took us to a room with thousands of books/literature in any language you could think of. People were taking random books as a souvenir.

  Looking back, the people working there must have been overworked and stressed. The guy who's job it was to chop the convention badges into rectangles day in, day out looked like he'd died inside.
