  That sister in the video above made a good point, “his rebuttals are longer than the conventions themselves, you might as well GO to the convention”. He’s so fucking boring.

  That was the reason I stopped watching him years ago. In the early days I'd crack open a beer and get the scoop for half an hour. One hour max. Now? It's like 4 hours per half for each convention day. 24 hours to get the info from 1 convention weekend?!!

  My time is far to precious and valued to waste it on Watchtower bullshit.

  I think it is. And I think that's what he's referring to as "messed up sexually". If that's the case he needn't be ashamed of it and merely should talk to his wife about it. And that's it.

  At least, I hope that's it and not "something" worse. Anyone who's asked him to confirm or deny on Twitter has ended up blocked.

  personally that does not bother me but the way he is handling it is such a god damn train wreck.

  I am one who can seperate the art from the artist. I like a lot of Micheal Jackson's music. The guy had a lot of talent. But he was IMO a child molester. He was a mentally ill person with lot of other issues and should have went to jail. But that does not mean his art was bad. The same with Evans, he did a lot of good work in exposing the cult. But his ego keeps getting in the way. I am sorry to see this happen only because the cult can hold him up and say see what apostates are rally like?

  Over the past few days my feelings about all this have changed. I'm seeing more and more of what people have been saying about him. As my first comment in this thread stated, I dont have an issue with sex work or sex workers (there's a whole growing debate about freedom of women to do this safely if they wish to etc but that's for another thread perhaps) and I dont care about his personal life. My issue now is his complete lack of acceptance, personal responsibility and - dare I say - empathy for his wife and kids.

  • I’m briefly breaking my social media hiatus to say a few things that some may need to hear:

    
    
    Not gonna copy the whole thing, obviously, but a few points that jump to me are:
    
    
    • Not once in that statement has he expressed remorse to his wife and kids.
      
    • Not once in that statement has he expressed remorse for misappropriation of funds.
    • He's running a poll about whether to keep his video up but says he can veto it anyway (whats the point?). Does it bring in more donations or what?
      
    
    
    Look, I dont judge anyone for sleeping with whoever and I make sure I dont weigh in on other people's relationship issues. Non of my business.However, this bit:

    The issue here is the money he's spending on prostitutes comes from his Patreon donors. Money which they were told was to make his videos and travel to do interviews and research. If it wasn't his sole income I could give him a bit of leeway. Guys working in garages, offices and bricklayers are free to spend their hard earned money how they please, sure. They get paid to lay bricks, fix cars and file papers. And yes, some will spend it on prozzys. Their wages, their choice. It would be very different if the brick layer took money from his employer to buy cement and spent in on a hooker though wouldn't it? In fact, it would get him sacked. And that, as far as I'm concerned is whats happened here.
    
    
    The only decent thing he can do about this is step down. Get off YouTube and Twitter. Dissappear. It's time for someone else to take the reign. And lets hope for a consortium under one YouTube channel rather than one person. Any spending of donations should be made public on a website.
