by pale.emperor inhttps://tv.jw.org/#en/mediaitems/latestvideos/pub-jwb_201709_12_video.
a few things about this video:.
it's very nice that they managed to host a convention for the russian brothers and sisters, and that they all got fed.

When You Were A JW Did You Ever Stand For The National Anthem?
by minimus inas a witness i always found a way to not have to embarrass myself by sitting down for the national anthem.. i’m curious.
how many of you stood up for the patriotic song?.

Here in the UK i've only ever been asked to stand/sing the national anthem once in my whole life. When i was at a civil service work thing and the mayor attended. I stood but didnt sing.
I always find it very strange that Americans have an obsession with their flag and their anthem. If you were to fly the British flag outside your house over here people would assume you're a racist or a crazy nationalist.

Jehovah has this strange penchant for doing mundane things and still receiving praise.
His wondrous works include:
A woman dying on her way to a Warwick build, but then Jehovah intervening to make sure it was completed in time.
An entire religion being banned in the worlds largest country, but then Jehovah intervening to make sure his 18 Americans fly out before things get difficult for them.
A tsunami kills thousands of people, but Jehovah made sure enough sand was washed up on shore for the brothers to complete a build.
A pioneer couple in my last congregation lost their parents in a coach crash. But the insurance money paid for a new kitchen make over.
Hallelujah!

A few things about this video:
It's very nice that they managed to host a convention for the Russian brothers and sisters, and that they all got fed. But lets be honest now, there are many religions and even atheist organizations that can, and do, feed their visiting members on a large scale and host conventions.
Mark Sanderson tells us that when the appeal at the Supreme Court was negative that they had to leave Russia immediately... but they had no tickets. He tells the committee members to just drive to the airport and on the way he's in contact with the travel desk at Watchtower. Well, whattayaknow... the travel desk managed to get 18 tickets for all of them to leave on the same plane. Praise Jehovah!... oh, but in reality... how hard can it be for some schmuck with access to the internet and a credit card to book a plane ticket? It's hardly a miracle now is it? Why, you can even turn up to an airport without a ticket and just buy one at the desk. Sure, it'll be more expensive but when you're a GB member whats a couple of grand? As long as Mark Sanderson can fly out of Moscow first class with a martini and a steak meal.
Mark even says "we felt as if we'd been picked up be Jehovah and safely carried out of Russia." WTF?!! So he gets you out of Russia but he couldnt make a supreme court judge overturn the ban of your own people? And what about the Russian witnesses that are still there?
Does this even make sense???

If there is a "great architect" at all then, as far as im concerned, he/she/it/they are not worth worshiping and doesn't seem to be bothered whether we do or dont.
If it is the God of the bible or the Koran, the he's definitely not worth worshiping and i can fully understand Satan rebelling and becoming his adversary.
But no. I have no reason to believe in any "great architect".

Good for Japan.
NK needs dealing with. Cant have missiles flying over your head from some bloated, deluded nutter with a bad hairdo and be willing to just take it.
Here's hoping NK's downfall is within my lifetime.
