Huh???
As far as I know they teach that the rider of the white horse is Jesus.
The link you posted brings up an error page. Can anyone enlighten me?
the watchtower promotes the antichrist in the new june 2018 broadcasting.
the latest june 2018 jw-broadcast shows a small clip at the end where a group of jehovah's witnesses are standing in a field waiting to be captured by armed forces.
right behind them, a white horseman appears with a bow and arrow shooting at the armed men.

a good friend pointed this out to me.
he thought it was hilarious that the "top cast listing" was the governing body members.
I think it's been listed by a JW movie buff who knows how to add content on there. Notice if you scroll down there's other JW "movies" too - all of which have been voted 9/10.
have you ever found out that your "buddies" from the kingdom hall went out to have fun and did not invite you?
if so how did you feel?.
once I invited a bunch of young dubs over to my place. I was new in that congregation and had moved there. Most said yes. I bought a bunch of pizzas.............and had to throw most of it away because not.......one..........person........showed.
Ouch. That sucks. I never threw parties for that very reason, i anticipated that no one would show.
Can you imagine turning up to a JW party now though? Getting the green Insight books out and having "lots of fun" talking about the bible?

It was always the single brothers in my previous hall that did things. As soon as i was married i was never invited to anything.
i recently had a discussion with a jw concerning a change in wording of a scripture - in fact this was my all time favourite scripture, namely, micah 6:8.. my view is that the wtbts have deliberately changed the wording and meaning of the said scripture.
the other person is of the opinion that that is not the case.
micah 6:8.
This is my all time favourite point to bring up when discussing the NWT change. I was going to make a YouTube video on it but it never happened.
Basically, the term "loyalty" can kinda sorta be used, but the WT society have obscured the full meaning. It's referring to loyal love. The kind of loyal love one has to ones family, not blind loyalty to an organization.
my wife's parents are in very bad shape.
they are both 2nd gen jws.
my father in law worked for a large american manufacturing company in the 60s and early 70s.
What a mess. Sorry to hear about their situation, you did try to warn them. I can sympathise with them because when I was in and a 100% believer i actually wished i could stop paying into a workplace pension scheme. Regarding it as "a waste of money because i'll never get old".
How silly of me.
The GB live on a blank cheque. They may as well be millionaires. Food, admiration, respect... not to mention gifts they receive from their "fans".
this is my first post.
i'm still a jw but am inactive.
im struggling with the fact that i agree with some of the doctrines (i,e, the stance on the trinity, there is no hell) but i disagree with a lot of things (i,e, men can't have beards, women have to wear skirts).
Hello and welcome Dval!
I was in your place exactly myself a few years ago. For a long time I went along with the religion but had my own personal interpretation of some scriptures while I still believed other JW things. It's actually ok to do that as long as you don't go spreading "your ideas" around the KH.
I found it very beneficial to take a break from meetings and ministry and JW. org and allow myself the time read the bible on my own without literature. Start with the New Testament. Anything you don't understand, highlight it and when you get to the end of the chapter research it from MULTIPLE sources (that bit is important). Biblehub is good and if you google "bible research" lots of great websites are available.
Your beliefs should be based on what YOU understand from YOUR studies. Not something someone else has told you to believe.
A persons religion is a very personal thing. It's supposed to be uplifting, refreshing and exciting. I didn't experience that as a JW and many still don't.
Enjoy your studies. JWFacts.com is THE BEST place to start. It's all Watchtower literature so can't be considered apostasy.
well, i offered in one of his threads to have him on the show and posters seemed excited at the possibility and we got it done so now you can hear from the man himself on the newest episode of "shunned".
one of our very own stepped up to tell his story, well, aside from myself of course.
it was great getting to actually speak with him.. this is my first international interview for the podcast.
Pale, do you happen to have any of your stand-ups recorded? I too am a fan of the dry humor lol
No. But i intend to record the next ones i do (if i do any more that is). The first few i did i didnt tell anyone i was going to do it because it'd just make me more nervous them turning up.
okay, they cheapened the product by getting rid of hardcover books.
they reduced printing of mags.
they drastically reduced the number of pieces of printed paper that members would "place" in people's hands in various ways, the biggest one being that they put them on a cart and don't encourage people to take them.they cut d.o.
Prosperity gospel conman Creflo Dollar does a clever thing... he sell his shitty self-help CDs and DVDs for a "love gift" of like $30.

For the Bethel spies who monitor apostate sites, here's what you say:
"God's organization has been faithfully providing "manna in the wilderness" via our magazines and publications. The Israelites loyally donated their gold earrings and silver trinkets to be melted down for use in the tabernacle. We too should be glad to honor Jehovah with our valuable things. Jehovah would be pleased to accept your love gift of £49.99 a month (dont forget to tick the gift aid box). Doesn't this show our love to Jehovah's organization? How else can we donate to Gods organization? Reports are heard of brothers selling their homes and property and lovingly donating these things for use by Jehovah's servants. Certainly this is a fine way to spend the short time remaining before the wicked world's end."
this is my first post.
i really feel i need to leave the jw's rather than go along pretending everything is perfect etc.
no friends, me at work.
Listening to the pod cast now. As there are no dates visible on the forum anymore in Internet Explorer, what happened to the wife and is now "girlfriend" on the podcast? Sorry for the sit-com and popcorn question.
haha
She's since left the cult, and is seeing someone more suited to her. Things are amicable as far as our child is concerned so i wish her all the best.
