  Have You Isolated Yourself Because of the Virus 🦠?

  some people i know have not gone out of their houses in weeks.

  some will walk near their homes and run right back in.

  meanwhile, i go food shopping and i see tons of people, many with masks and gloves on..

  I've been given provision to work from home. We only go out for shopping once a week and to walk the dog - keeping well away from others... but there's hardly anyone out anyway.

  At first working from home was enjoyable. But now I'm finding that I end up just working solid 8:30-5 without a break because I'm already home and if my phone rings I just answer it and deal with the issue.

  Really need to get into a routine I think.

  I was checking my old hotel reviews online a while back and noticed one in Liverpool I reviewed that I stayed in during the convention. £450+ for three days!! The hell was I thinking wasting that money on a 3 day convention? And I was still expected to donate (I never did).

  Just think if we added up all the money and time we wasted at these conventions, if we'd have invested it into a fund we'd be better off.

  not only do they want everyone dressed up for the zoom meetings( which i won't do) they decided to keep the zoom meeting at 1pm sunday!

  so they don't upset their spiritual routine!

  think of the possibilities, if this technology is all they have to stay in touch with their minions think of the wonderful possibilities..... 1. think of what just one molotov cocktail or flame thrower could do to their broadcasting room and the "world wide work.

  2. or better yet if "v" (for vendetta) hacked into their broadcasting system...and told them the real truth.

  My brother tells me that my fulltime pioneer mum doesnt know what to do with herself and "is struggling" without the meetings or ministry. She has JWBroadcasting on all day everyday in the background.

  over at jw talk they're saying because they're having to hold the upcoming memorial at home, they dont need to actually have the emblems.

  apparently, listening to or watching the talk is the thing that counts.. "do this in rememberence of me" apparently means watching tony morris on your phone give a talk.. this begs the question... "what's the point?

  ▪ If a Christian cannot be at the celebration of the Lord’s Evening Meal, what should he do?

  But sometimes unusual obstacles arise. On occasion, raging storms or floods have prevented a congregation, or some of its members, from meeting together as planned. In rare cases, martial law has been in effect with armed soldiers barring citizens from being out-of-doors after sunset. Other Christians have not been able to be at the congregation’s celebration because of being hospitalized or seriously ill. What can be done in such instances?

  While it is fitting for the whole congregation to unite for this important event, circumstances such as noted above may make that impossible. When extreme weather, a natural disaster, or the like, absolutely prevents a family or a portion of a congregation from meeting with the congregation, the isolated ones can meet and discuss Scriptural accounts such as found in Luke 22:7-23, 28-30 and 1 Corinthians 11:20-31, as well as discussing the meaning of the occasion.

  Similarly, if an enforced curfew makes it impossible for a congregation to gather on the appropriate night, meeting in Congregation Book Study groups or neighborhood groups might be the best alternative, the sum of those in attendance serving as the congregation’s attendance report. A brief talk may even be given if a capable, dedicated brother is in the group. There need not be concern that no suitable emblems are available as long as no one in this emergency situation previously partook of the bread and the wine as an anointed Christian.
